SOHC tach with SR swap

Hey Guys,

I am in the midst of swapping my black top into my 89 coupe. My coupe has the HUD.

I am told that I need a new tach from a DOHC motor inorder for it to function.

I found the below article by d!ck:zerothread/272023

Apparently you can cut a wire on the back of your cluster and run a wire into the engine bay?

Anyone have any pics that work? or know more about this?
