Lol Hondas are hiring muscle to get us off the streets one by one.

Thanks for the kind words about my car, but she will never be the same.

Same here. That S14 was one of the first ones that stood out for me too. Saved some pics of it from back then. Sad to see her banged up.

S14Tan, I'll tell you what, they total your car I'll sell you mine...!

No, no I won't but I had to get you excited for a minute. Hopefully your car will be fine. The only thing I'm afraid of is that it shifted the entire rear end slight when he hit it. It wasn't a light hit by the looks of it.

I've been rear ended and the damage was very similar, they totaled it and gave Book value, hmmm depending on your mileage, you'll get between 4500-5000. So take it and buy it back for 700, and have it fixed. You'll be able to get ull pain job and maybe get other minor dings and what have you taken care of too. The repair is not that big a deal. Or just fix the QP and other damage, (bumper, tails, etc.) and spend the rest on other parts or your girl (yeah rite!). You'll have to get a reconstruction title but not a real issue, unless you're going to turn around and try to sell it.

His insurance called me back today and told me I'll have to wait 3 business days for them to come out and look at my car and give an estimate.

Man, when I saw your new pics on myspace, I thought to myself... "I hope he didn't do that out at Mineral Wells..."

But nah, you where just minding your own biz and this happens. Man, this sux. I never got to see it IRL. I vote save it, if they try to total her out.

LED kouki tails, JDM Kouki bumper & valances with USDM Kouki skirts after you fix that QP...

Hows the rear suspension though? Any damage?

She'll be back I'll make sure of it.

But rear suspension is making a lot of clanking noises.. and shocks are blown..

Oooh... no wonder you were asking about that... I spoke to Jeremy with the KA-T s14 just a few days ago and he was asking about my suspension too, but there's no way I could sell this crap or recommend the same setup to such cool guys...

I saw some Stances on CL for like $700...

I know the repairs should go just fine after seeing the kind of work you & the crew put into Paul's s14.3 conversion, but good luck!

This sucks man, I always liked your car too. Gotta be careful in parking lots because they are private property, so police can't enforce someone not yielding etc. Best of luck to you man.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news man but my dad just looked at the pic's and he is the manager of a body shop and does estimates every day. He said that there is a 99% chance that it will be totaled.

Well I hope you didn't agree to it, cause other wise they burned you up..., you coulda found a shop to do it for that much or less and you wouldn't have had to total it. Either that or your ride was totaled to far beyond repair, inwhich case you should have gotten more than 2,100 for a S14.

around here traffic signs in parking lots are just teh same as traffic signs on the street, and on top of that all the REST of the driving laws apply in parking lots also.

a parking lot is NOT the same kind of private property as your back yard is as far as the laws concerned.

Well I am just saying down here you can run stop signs or speed in parking lots all day. You can't get a ticket for it unfortunately.

yes buy it back and try your best to not let them tow it away from your house because they may make you tow it from another location and that could cost. Also try to buy it back for less than their asking value. Typically they would rather not deal with a tow guy or junk yard because of time so they would be willing to knock 100 or so off of their buy back price.

That reall sucks Tan. Youre car was coming together nicely. Have you located a shell to transplant everything into or are you going to attempt to fix yours? Good luck with whatever you decide.

I'm looking for a shell or a base model s14.

I'm also thinking about getting my friends s14 with F/R kouki conversion and s13 sr.and still buying the car back and part it out to people who need the parts.

I won't know whats gonna happen until they call me back with the amount that they are giving me.

is there anyway that I can get them to award me more than their estimated value of the car?

Like if i had receipts/invoices for a fully rebuilt motor and full suspension, yada yada.

Dibs on the front SE lip, if you still have it and it's in good shape

I'll be on the lookout for a shell or a base for ya Tan.
