The new GTR is my dream car...Vipers and Vettes are nice, and I would not turn one down, but if I had the choice, definatley the GTR is the icing on the cake for me...heck, I could barely afford a keychain for my Altima Coupe let alone buy a GTR, lol.Congrats on the car, I know its been awhile since you got it, but I am fairly new to the forums Have fun, and be safe, watch out for Ponch and Jon!

Gorgeous but why an automatic? Even if it has paddles, why? But other than that, I'm jealous. Good choice

Because all new GT-Rs have the paddle shift manual trans.

beautiful car, you will love it until you have to change the brakes i used to sell nissans not too long ago. only been on one ride when we got our first one at the dealership, i remember the sales manager launched and i choked on my gum when he let out....

to clear some things up for te people who say automatic, this is NOT an automatic transmission, nor is it a manual transmission. this car uses wet plate double clutch to change gears. think about a formula one cars transmission, they are the SAME EXACT THING as what is in the GTR....and quit saying skyline...they are no longer skylines, g37's are skylines now. its just....GODZILLA, i mean GT/R

VERY GOOD VIDEO FOR TRANSMISSION EXPLANATIONhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aSD0CKgk_NE

and yes i know its for the 911, but its the same thing.

This thread got me thinking.....which would I prefer?
I think that over a Viper, I'd definintly go with a R35 GT-R.

Now, a brand new LS7 powered Z06 Vette? Hrm, that'd be a much tougher choice.

Then reality sets in and I go "Yea, I'll just be happy with my nice R32 for now" :D

99.9% of artists don't make this kind of money, so don't get your hopes up. During the dotcom boom I used to make 3 figures, now I live paycheck to paycheck.

so if it had a 6 spd(like the r34) then would you keep it. not a viper nutswinger like some or the guys on here. but i do respect a respectable car. (even if its a domestic). i think a better choice for you since youre going back to mopar.

and what you were really searching for would had been a zr1 corvette(or if not a z06). it does everything the viper does and better. i myelf "jdm as f**k" and i would buy one. but if you want a variety or car experience thats fine too. but i say get the zr instead of antoher vip...
