None of the exhausts come with a y-pipe. Racingline's y-pipe connects the mid-pipe of all the cat-back exhaust systems to the headers.Healed Will wrote:does the Nismo system not come with a Y pipe? Im just wondering why people are purchasing Racingline's Y pipe, plus cat back systems?
well...there's a $9.95 handling fee...but still $9.95 for shipping ain't bad for a large box...Bmore-coupe wrote:Me either, I was just curious and checked to see how much it was. Thats pretty sweet for such a large box.
Because the Y pipe is replacing the stock piping right behind the two exhaust manifolds/pre-cats where they meet. The stock piping around there is crimped as well, while the Y-pipe is proper round and designed for smoother flow, as well as getting rid of the 3rd un-metered cat that the stock setup there has. SO yes, it provides the best bang for the buck so to speak.Healed Will wrote:which produces the most horsepower?
how can the racingline y pipe claim 10hp, while the whole cat back nismo claims like 7?
what is stillen claiming?
Any dyno's ran?
If you want more sound to go with v8's around you, go with Borla. It has a very nice deep & powerful tone. Not to mention if you do get the racingline y-pipe, it makes it sound even better.BlackMamba08 wrote: If you want a little more sound to go with the v8's and trucks where you live, go with the Nismo
please do. I really like hearing what the ypipe does to the tone of each of the exhausts.rcboy514 wrote:Nismo + y-pipe = I need to make a vid of mine
