well what about the clutch disc? does it look like it was installed wrong? or was it even the right one...?

i saw a number on the disk, it said 225LTD on it, and theres 2 other sets of numbers on it...cant remember right now, and i cant see the pics at work...

one set of numbers was 225 LTD and it had NISSAN stamped as well near it and on the other sid eit had this number 44F04 GH and stamped VISIUN

agreed...my thing is (and i know i still need to post pics of it) the side that still has solid material on it is the side facing the flywheel, yet, its that side that dug into my flybolts...so im left wondering...if the flywheel needs replacing or not.

so it does matter in a sense whether the clutch was installed right, or if it was the wrong one...etc...

pretty much determines how much im paying here in the next couple of weeks to make my next event...

That clutch had to have been installed improperly, look at the gouges on those flywheel bolts!

It would probably be okay to have it resurfaced. Give it a shot - the machinist will let you know if it is too far gone.

You can also get an XTD chromoly flywheel (they are dirt cheap, find them on ebay, aimcoclutch seller) and a spec stage 3 clutch. I bought the stage 3 XTD flywheel & clutch kit and had it delivered in France for 350$ if i remember correctly.

but i dont mind changing them again in 30.000km as the car will not be driven a lot.

I know spec clutches are up to the job. a friend of mine has a spec stage 3+ on a 400++ HP CA, and it worked very fine for a long time (hes blown the engine and rebuilding it, but keeping the same clutch)

the more i hear about spec and there stage 2-3 clutch the more i feel comfortable to actually buying it...as far as the flywheel the Jun FW looks to tasty to pass up...that, plus ARP bolts...i think i should be fine...

so...while i was searching around the net last night, i cam up on a thread talking about how, using the JUN flywheel...the Flywheel bolts are...to short...by about 1/2'' ...?

http://www.240sxforums.com/forums/ca18d ... -hope.html
^ see thread above...

im planning on running ARP bolts...but wouldnt i run into the same issue if ARP when made to OE specs...just stronger material?

ideas...?
