anyone else come into this thread expecting that he either A. got rear ended B. went through the stop sign violently and got T-boned or C. Got rear ended, pushed into the intersection and then got T-boned.
k thx bye
I thought most people don't. You're giving too much credit to the retards. End/tunerinms wrote:Why the hell are people thinking these days?
Because some people don't care about speed? Maybe I'm wrong but a celica with some ricey mods seems to beat out a busted a** pain in the neck S14 anyday.tunerinms wrote:I just picked up a 96 240 the outside is clean except the front bumper which has paint peeling. Its completely stock except a pipe. I believe it has aftermarket struts because i feel every bump in the road because its so stiff. Anyway my tach doesnt work nor the speed senor and it has over 200k miles and 3 engine senors are bad ( one is the CPS which is my tach problem ) my clutch is slipping bad and there is a loud popping noise coming from the rear suspension when i let of or hit a bump. ( not a backfire ) i got the car for 2k and the interior is clean as can be. oh and a head light is out so do yall think i got the better of the bargain?Even though it has its faults I am now a proud s14 owner after 3 years of waiting.
What you should have said: 'I'm sorry to say it babe, but my homie is a ... ricer.'tunerinms wrote: So when she asked me that i was like uhhhhhh NO. So then she asked the question that stumped me. Why did he do all that and not change the performance?
OPs, friend likes a good looking car, and doesnt need it to go fast. So hes got the bodykit and all.simmode1 wrote:What you should have said: 'I'm sorry to say it babe, but my homie is a ... ricer.' I had a similar experience
Personally, I would never drive a civic over a wrx. Hey, I would even drive a standard impreza before driving a civic. I am merely submitting that there is a place in the tuning world for good looking cars. It would be nice if we all had the money to have gorgeous cars with RB26s but we don't, so we can look up to the guys who do. The rest of us just have to pick whether we want looks or performance or a mild dose of each. Just because you picked performance doesnt mean you are any better than the guy who picked aesthetics.simmode1 wrote:Yeah, we're gonna have to agree to disagree. You seem like the type who might argue that buying a car with a high performance pedigree, like a Corvette, would be pointless/unnecessary unless your pushing it to the limit often. Therefore, buying a car with a lower performance threshold is more rational since your just driving to work and back.
Well, I don't live like that and neither does my Civic loving friend. We just have fundamental differences of opinion on what makes a good performance car.
I'm NOT brand loyal at all. My Honda friend is. I want the best performing car I can get at a certain price point, iiregardless of brand. I'm selling my s13 this fall for an SW20.AZ89two4Tsx wrote:A Civic Si is nice, but it shouldn't be in the same category as a wrx/sti.
Like it or not, Honda makes solid cars. Everyone here is just so brand loyal, they can't see/think outside the box.
Aha! So you are loyal to pop-up headlights! Pop-ups FTW!simmode1 wrote:

It's all rhetoric since it's not me thats forking out $17k for a newish car.
