diggin the build and the video blogs! peeked at a few of your wire tuck pics and i saw that you had your A/C lines hooked up. wondering if you bought codyace's A/C adapter brackets or just custom made your own lines.

Yes I have CodyAce's relocation kit for my ac compressor I still need to have a custom line made for my condenser to the firewall since my intercooler piping and blow off valve are in the way.

you can stay up to date with the build by either going to

http://om1kron.blogspot.com

or

http://violentrunning.squidd.org/news

as I normally never come to this site.

Video Blog Update 4-03-2009

In the video I highlighted the path on the ecu that fried. you can see by the circular diode the circuit snapped or burned up. No longer connecting the power path for this circuit.

So I took the ECU apart and tried to salvage it.

I made sure this wire is not touching anything surrounding it.

It's very important if you attempt this that you triple check your work.

You don't have to put electric tape on it when finished because the cover on this side of the ecu has a hump. So the wire wont be penetrated by any of the other leads from the pressure of putting the cover back on. (just to clear your paranoia.)

Tests out OKAY.

finished product...

Spent the last 7 hours making this mess. I have now completed the inner wiring of the car making a lot of stuff shorter. Falling asleep soldering is bad, so I didn't tackle any of the long wire you still see.

December harness.

April harness

oh yeah... car starts.
you must be an electrical engineer because my brother does the same soldering circuit boards and stuff he doin my wiring diagram now and were gonna do a wire tuck

I have a quick question I skimmed the thread and couldn't find the answer. Where did you find those nylon sleeves that you put on your harness?

Im have followed this build up to a point on zilvia. Great car and glad to see a finished build thread.

Do you keep it a stock redtop? What kind of numbers is she putting down. Have you took it down the 1/4 mile or had any track time yet?

Yes... I do plan on going twinscroll in the future, but I have no idea what abuse the previous two owners of this engine have put it through. Along with maintenance/lack of.

So until I can afford a stock bottom end rebuild along with more power. It will stay stock.

Quote »What kind of numbers is she putting down. Have you took it down the 1/4 mile or had any track time yet?[/quote]I would imagine if the engine was working properly then it would put down what any other stock redtop with an fmic is putting down, around 210-230hp.

However I am having an issue with the boost on the motor, either due to a boost leak or a tuning issue which I have not narrowed down just yet.
