here in america a station wagon or 5 door hatch equals fail...... in europe they're big, everyone loves them but here most ppl think they are hideous.... which is why i always laugh when i see threads about the mazda speed 3..... thing looks like a POS. if it was a 3 door hatchback or not a hatchback at all, it would be a billion times better, same with the STi but the 08+ STi's are just a shame..... they made such nice 06-07 then to just kill it with the 08+

Man oh man, does this car pwn. I have replaced a few items, like the up pipe, down pipe, put a turbo back exhaust, turbo inlet pipe, and had an open-source tune done.

I am pushing 340 at the 4 tires.

Any of you Altima ladies feel like getting walked on?

I am surprised at how fast this 4 banger is. It isn't as Luxurious as my Lincoln, but I imagine I will still park for free.

You guys should take one of these for a test drive. It's a pretty fun car, and AWD grips the road really well. It also transferrs the power fairly well, asw in comparison to a transaxle. having 3 diffs does suck though.

See ya guys around. If you're in Socal, maybe you'll see my tail lights.
Blake isn't gonna be around for a while, but he left me and speedforce in possession of his car... if you'd like, we can definately find a legal place to race... I don't do street races!

In regards to the posts, I'm impressed with the restraint that our members had, but dude, you're talking about an STI... most folks here respect that car, and most know that its's not really in the league of our car, nor many others out there.(At least you didn't come on here talking about your Chevy cavalier (cobalt)... I don't see you posting this on any turbo 350Z forums though... why is that... because most of those guys are pushing 400+ to the wheels, and would probably own you just like you'd own all of the Altimas here.

I'm working on two terminal degrees, but to jump into a high school online chat and brag about how much smarter I am than everone on the forum proves what??? Nothing. Stating the obvious in hopes of retribution and contrite responses would only prove that perhaps there's some insecurities going on with me and my own self assessment of my intelligence.

For you, there's no denying that you have a fast car... but at the end of the day.... who cares? You're stating the obvious... a modded fast car is...well... faster. Speed is what you have... class, elegance, sophistication, "real" self confidence, and maturity are what you lack my friend!

yeah, totally not douch-bag like.... for someone to just stick their head in, spit venom, and bounce... how does this add to the forum? Is this postive in any way shape form or fashion? NO! Only later did he actually get the bitter responses he was hoping for... read his post again, he WANTED to cause strife. I don't think we need to resort to that... his profle says he's 2... well at least we knpw he's not a liar!

Okay, I am not defending Tyler in any way at all. The guy is a tool. However, I have to say something...

spools at 4k??? WTF???

I am at 5-6 psi at 2500rpm, 8-9 psi at 3k 11-12 at 3500, and hit peak at 13.3 at 3800. It will overboost to about 14. Turbolag isn't an issue at all on the 09's. The 08's turbo peaked a little sooner, but it was less psi, a smaller turbo, and a terrible stock tune.

The setup that Tyler has, would have some ridiculous turbo lag, but after 4k-4500 rpm, in that car, hold the heck on.

Yeah, the understeer sucks. It's the equivalent of the exact opposite of my G35. The G had some oversteer, and this one has some understeer.

Okay Doc. Nice job calling me out. Spit venom and bounce? I have a job. I was making soap. Couldn't get online for a while.

I would have posted it in the 350z forum, but your 3.5 coupes are just as fast, and don't come with an inferiority complex. Plus at least there is 1 boosted coupe. Can't say that for any of the 350 guys on this site.

I don't want to cause strife. I expected it, and was impressed that most of you guys were adult enough to not have to resort to name calling.

You sound wise Doc. You can read my posts all you want, I am not trying to cause strife.

I am just pointing out that I have a superior automobile, just like you have a superior brain.

The fact that you "don't post in High School online chat", but still felt the need to point out that you have two terminal degrees, whether trying to make a point or not/make an analogy, shows that subliminally, you still wanted to state the fact that you have a better brain than most. So not unlike me, you still feel the need to feel superior to a weaker person. This is human nature. It's not your fault.

I didn't expect an Administrator to have to resort to name calling.

Yeah, it lags but it makes up for it after 4k rpm.

as it was pointed out earlier there are many z's out there with over 400 going to the wheels. do not compare the AC to the 350z. i love the AC. but if my goal is speed/hp then the z is better. thats just among other details for example the AC is front wheel drive the Z is rear wheel drive.i have respect for the sti and think its tight, but there are tons of 350z's that will burn your car anyday and furthermore outside of performance the 350z and the AC are way sexier cars IMO

brandonbeeb wrote:even with a gt35 your cars still awd and wont have the topend vs a v6 on the highway that only has to put power to 2 wheels not 4. p.s a gt35 turbo isnt that big for an sti maybe you should do your hmwk and i dont know why youd replace your up pipe only wrx came with a cat in them, so you didnt gain anything by changing it and 340 at the wheels is a dream buddy
WHAAAAT?! The GT35R is capable of 650hp, its by no means a small turbo for a 2.5 liter, maybe you should do your homework, the cars spool so slow from factory because they are drive by wire, a reflash with even a stage1 or 2 tune from a cobb AP or reflashing it yourself with enginuity would make a world of change.

oh this little toy car, how nice...lol, im just kidding.

btw are you sure this is an 06, because it has 07 headlamps, which if it was an 07 would mean that it has the better gear ratios.

340whp w/a GT35R, FMIC, and a few other goodies...that is sad my friend. you either have not built your motor to support that turbo, or you are scared of blowing the motor so you dont want to push it.

i have a friend with an 07 STi with stock turbo making 340whp and 360tq at the wheels, so i call BS with you numbers/setup

and my cousin that had a white 06 STi here in NY, was making 420whp with an Element Tuning GT52, completely built motor, and ran 11.9 @115 on 3 broken valve springs. he then went with an even bigger turbo and was not completely tuned, but made 500whp with only 15psi of boost (wastegate pressure). he was supposed to go get fully tuned, but never had the chance because the car hydroplaned because of bald tires. btw if anyone here lives in brampton, ON you might notice a white 06 sti with green wheels driving around soon...now you know where it came from.

but yea, i think you are lying about your car...be for real!

Google is a great place to find pics I think we should call the shop (on the banner)and ask about the 2007 STI!

The number is a landline from Graham,WA. What a load that should have been swallowed!
