Yes, I'd take TCS over Hicas anyday...I guess the Hicas designers never planned on us making them 2 ton drift machines! Please no more reminders of the Michelins, absolutely, positively the scariest tire I've ever driven...talk about unpredictable breakaway in the wet...after 2 180's in one month on surface streets they went to the recycler with 50% tread left on them.

Anyway, Chad congratulations on the recent 91 purchase. I hope yours is as reliable as mine...now that most of my issues have been resolved. Good Luck

there are 2 modes of HICAS operation:Low speed: deflection against the turn of the front wheels.high speed : turns with the front wheels.

Then maybe there is more deflection with low speed modes?

I remember the Honda mechanical 4WS worked this way.

Whatever the case, at low speeds with 3mm of travel i could hardly see it making ANY difference.....

So I spend today completely detailing the car. Cleaned everything from wheel wells, engine compartment, trunk, etc. Washed, waxed (Meguiars GC), cleaned leather (old Kiwi saddle soap, all i had, but smells nice!) shined chrome (damn those wheels are shine for 13 years old) and the likes.

Did a momentary fix on the visor that might end up being a permanent fix (the metal part that connects the visor to the top of the car was what broke) by doing some metal work and inserting a rod into centers which are hollow and serating it so it is difficult to come and then spliced the wire for the light got that working. It looks perfect, but I will just have to see how long it lasts.

Grabbed a pack of tail lights from schucks, miracously the tail light inoperative message went away! Joy to the world! Also replaced rear side marker light. Now I am well lit!

When I went to shucks swung by les schwab on the way home and picked up new battery (last one had corrosion on top, no need for that on my new ride).

Last thing was take out lining in trunk to get to antenna. Surveyed landscape. I might just get a non retractable antenna and mount that instead getting the retractable fixed.... never really been a fan of them and when I pulled the antenna out all the way, the car still looked great!

Tomorrow I plan to do rear brakes (they are at 25% from what the shop said) and oil change (looking kinda dirty). SO tomorrow will be fun too.

All I have to say is all washed, waxed, shined, and clean, this is one hell of a nice looking car.

Like I said earlier, I am one of the four remaning people in the US without a digital camera :-( Next week when I am able to drive it up to my aunts (where I stay during the week for work) I might steal her camera one day and try and get some pics up.
