ok, this is wack, ive noticed when my clutch is going before and this is different. it will slip then grab hard and slip again. especially in the higher gears. the clutch has maybe 4k miles on it and was professionally installed. i feel like the clutch is really trying to grab. i mean, this clutch grabs like a mofo, and its still slipping, but then sometimes when im hard on the gas, its grabbing well. so i even spent the whole afternoon today drifting on it as a test. still drifted fine. im not sure whats going on here, but i need to fix this. also, all my hard lines are 2 years old, so they shouldnt be bad. maybe the clutch master cylinder? that im not sure how old it is? any suggestions would be awesome, im just having a hard time believing its the clutch itself. thanks guys

Has any oil leaked onto the clutch, oil on the friction surface with cause odd clutch behavior. Also, a bad master, slave, or clutch lines would not cause the clutch to slip, they would just cause it to not dissengage. How was the clutch broken in? If it was not broken in properly the life span will be severly shortened.

could be the rear main seal leaking. Under load, high oil pressure causes the seal to leak. Oil gets on the flywheel, but since its a puck disk, it can sort of burn the oil off, unlike an organic disk. This would result in erratic clutch engagement

hmmm, its a hard way to explain. the clutch was used from a vendor on here with under a 1000 miles. i ordered a better clutch 3 weeks in advance to the appointment, but i t never showed. so i got the better clutch out of the deal apparently, i looked at the clutch before it was installed too. i broke it in 300 miles on my car, then started to have fun. my flywheel appeared to be ok before the install too. i dont really know what to say except at 2k rpm it slips like a mofo in any gear, but i can go into boost up to 7k and still get put in my seat. sometimes it grips, sometimes it sucks balls, im so confused.

no other input before i go buy another clutch? although i just drove the car and i noticed, the clutch slips as i go into boost, and the more i go up in rpms and boost, it grabs more and i think it feels fine at like 5-6k. but then i let off the gas, decelerate and punch it again without pushing in the clutch again, and it does the same slipping routine. i mean, the clutch is basically slipping worse in low throttle than high throttle, thats why i feel like it might not be the clutch

If you have cracked the flywheel it couldbe allowed to flex and wouldn't let the clutch make full contact and do a little slip-grip untill it found its happy spot. Before you make the order drop the trans and get a good look at the clutch face, pressure plate and flywheel.

Since he wants to use it on the street wth are you advertising your race only crap? For one the wear on them is horrible (short life) and they are hard on motors/trans/rears so wth would you use that on the street?

now the clutch feels like its feathering for me when i already have the clutch all the way out. it feels like something in the pedal now. im gonna replace the clutch master cylinder and slave first and see what that does.. and im not leaking any clutch fluid
