So, Democrats are up in arms about the RNC buying 150k in clothes for Palin.....

What about Obama using his campaign jet to fly to Hawaii to see his sick racist grandmother? If Pelosi's 757 costs taxpayers 22k an hour to fly her somewhere then I'm sure it takes Obama just as much with his campaign 757. So, 5.5 hours each way (LA to Honolulu) = 11 hours = 242k

Where's the uproar?

He's spreading the wealth around by giving the grounds crews some work, the maintenance crews some work, the flight controllers, the pilots, attendants, and whoever else is on that plane. Duh

Unless he did some campaigning, its not a legitimate campaign expense, so he should have paid for it out of pocket. Palin's wardrobe was for the campaign, therefore a campaign expense.

Not to speak for anyone, but I think he or she is referring to your post as being garbage and is unworthy of an answer/reply, but I could be wrong. Read between the lines you test tube baby! x3

That point is wholly missed. Then again, in this case If I were a Obama pole smoker....errrr.....supporter, I would have a big problem with my contribution being used to fund a personal trip to Hawaii regardless of whether he made a last minute "campaign" change to his schedule in order to have reason. That's like me picking a training class in France instead of local one simply because I wanted a reason to get the company I work for to pay for the trip itself. Of course, in his case, he has no reason to be responsible with the money as he does not report to anyone.

It's ok, it all came from the "under $200 donations" from donors with names suspiciously resembling Disney characters and the 1972 Miami Dolphins.

The DNC needs to worry about keeping its OWN side of the street clean and quit trying to stir up meaningless (yes, TRULY meaningless) distractions.

And those $200 donations all coming through the Obama website where all security measures were removed from validating the credit cards?

If I were gonna pick fun at someone based on their selection of a presidential candidate, I would have used 'jock strap' here, as this term is more reminiscent of a true supporter, and therefore more comical IMO...

I'm nowhere near the bottom of the barrel. I'm simply calling out Obama for blowing campaign money on a personal trip. It's OK to call out the RNC for buying clothes for Palin, which she does not keep anyway, yet give a pass to Obama because you support him? Then you want to spin it as me pulling the "grandma card" on his poor racist white grandmother? I did no such thing.

Who's really at the bottom of the barrel?

Im supporting Obama, however, I do think if the silly wardrobe issue is valid then this surely is as well. I would think if Obama and Biden truly wanted to respond to Palin's claim of being the candidate for the average person, then Obama should have taken a public plane. It would have made a great photo op for him. He could have bought out half the economy class seats for all his SS shadows and still come out a LOT cheaper, haha.

A little effort on your part would have seen:http://www.google.com/search?q...fox-a

If you don't care then why are you arguing the issue? You should chalk it up as "tit for tat".

I agree. I really don't care what he does with his campaign money. My whole point is to show the hypocrisy.

Where did I take a shot at a dying woman? She seems like a great person to me as she took in her daughters child and raised him. I'm not the one who said she was racist, Obama did when he brought her up on the campaign trail.

I still fail to see what Obama's grandmother's personal opinions have to do with his or Palin's campaign spending habits.

I mean, I'll keep researching, but I suspect it was just your personal passive aggressive dig against an old woman.

OK, I will type this simply so you can follow the first post

Democrats have a fit and make a stink about the RNC spending 150k on Palins clothes and it was all in the press

Obama wastes over 200k using his campaign jet for a personal visit to Hawaii to visit his grandmother and the press does not care

Get the picture now or are you going to focus on his grandmother which is NOT the point in the first place.

Here's the question that comes to mind for both sides. What does it say about our society when the brand and price of clothing is actually part of a political strategy? Does it not seem pathetic that many are so hung on appearance that each party can validly justify spending this much money on campaign clothes that will be ditched once all this mayhem is over? I know appearance means something, but money spent does not equal a professional appearance. I enjoy wearing nice, expensive clothes, but I dont use them to create a false image. How shallow are we?

I can see your point there, but try walking into a Wall St. firm in a pair of cheap slacks and some K-Mart dress shirt.

There's always exceptions to the rule, but nice clothes are an investment in your image.

It's too bad we can't get by on our internal merits, I agree... But it's a reality.

Besides, well-made clothes cost a little more, but they last a lot longer and look good longer.

<-- Cheap bastard who learned his lesson.
