The last time I was at Vons with a big group of friends, I almost got arrested. Vons thought we were going to rob them since we kept going in and out of the store and called the cops on us. We explained that we were just waiting for our lost friends to meet up with us. Wheew...

Lucky SOBs, I'm coming from Simi Valley. (Just north of the LA county line.)

BTW, if any of us are planning on bringing anything to the meet (foodwise...) then let's say so ahead of time... so we don't have like 14 two-liter bottles and, say, no cups.

I'll bring plates, cups, forks and knives for the lot of us. How's that?

Also, are we all kinda planning on a 10-11am arrival?

I'll be there and I can bbq no problem. What do you guys want to cook? Here's what we do... if a couple of us can show up early and front some cash, we'll go get food and start cooking. Then we collect a few bucks from everyone that wants to eat as the day goes on. If people just want to come and hang, but not eat, it's free. Hell, I even have charcoal if we need it. Can someone go to the park this week and check if the bbq's are gas or charcoal? If someone here has a Costco membership, it would make things easier too, we could just go grab a fat pack of frozen burgers and have a good ol time :)

From my personal experience, it's really alot more fun to chill at a park and bbq with everyone than to go to a restaraunt. Plus, it's alot cheaper too. I figure if we bbq burgers, we could break even if we charge everyone just $2 to eat all they want.

I think that's a little early too, but it would be nice to get started before it gets tooooo hot. I think it's more realistic to start at 11-12. The people that are gonna help cook and claim an area of the parking lot can get there at 10 maybe. Anyone want to help with this?
