What's up everyone. A friend of mine just told me about the meet, even though it's occurred a while back already. Hope you guys had a good time. Vince, nice setup, wish i was there to see your car, we still never got that chance to look at the cars. I live in MPK, and I am attending CPP right now, for those who know where Pomona is. =) Well, just wanted to say what's up to you fellow 240 lovers, and hope it was a good meet, and hopefully I can make it to the next one...that is...if I still have my car =T Alright people, take it easy.

It's great, but it's alot of work. Our studio facilities are kind of ****ty, but it doesn't stop us from turning out some good work. If you decided to do it, just know you'll be there for 6 years, even if you already have all your GE's out of the way. There are 5 years of arc classes that have to be taken in succesion just for a BA. If you want to IM me, I'd be happy to tell you more about it.

It's worth it if you love it, but only if you love it. If you come to CPP for arc, and you get into it and decide you're not really into it, get out because it's seriously alot of work. I love it and could never see doing anything else now, so it's worth the weeks without sleep (yes, I've actually stayed up for 5 days straight working on my projects in studio, without the assistance of drugs!)

wow the arc program must've really changed in the last 12 years. When my bro was attending cpp it was only going to take him 4 years to finish the degree (and thats while he was still into building his 240 24/7)....But then he transfered to Art Center in pasadena junior year and ended up taking 4 more years to finish college neways >_>

btw lots of ppl from my hs attend CPP (including 1Day D: )....

Glad to see this thread resurrected. 'Bout time. Let's get the "So Cal 240sx Hangout - No Club" group back together again.

It's kind of crazy, reading some of the posts in this thread and seeing the updated signature right below it... I'd like to see how some of these cars are coming along.

I had a lot of fun at the last meet; I think most people did.

What about a track day? If we can get a few dozen guys in up front, plus maybe a couple vendors to help defray the cost, we can rent track time for a day. The reason I suggest this is that at the last meet we hung around and shot the breeze... fun, yes, but now that a lot more of us have put more work into our cars, it'd be a lot more fun (IMHO) to track 'em.

What do you guys think? 20-30 cars, a whole track to ourselves, good eats, burnt rubber, maybe some sunstroke... it'll be good times!

Cost? Probably like $80 and as many tires you can cram into your car. Of course, the more people we get to go, the cheaper it'll be per person.

S13Guy, I guess just for you we'll have to change the rules. You planning on tracking a truck? LOL.

As far as it being hard to get people to sign up for track time... I doubt it'll be THAT much of an issue, especially if we can include other folks. This doesn't have to be a NICO-only meet... hell, it might not end up being a Nissan-only meet... even though it was a LOT of fun to have some 20 240sx's lined up right next to each other... hehe.

I'm just floating ideas... real ideas though... so input is appreciated.
