no we are gonna relocate the batter to the trunk. we riveted a piece of metal to where the original battery location is. then we are gonna cut a hole for IC piping my buddy works at a body shop we'll make it look clean. ill post a pic when we get around to it.

^Dude, I know right. Starting a engine for its first fire is close to having sex. Love the work you've put into this 40 man. Good luck with everything.

Are there any clearance issues when the engine is started or revved up? I have a bar that sits about that close and I keep thinking about putting it on and leaving it but it seems awfully close to me.

Thanks, looks closer in the picture. Mine is just mm's away... I think the previous owner said something about new motor mounts.

It should fit the SR. I think the only engine that has to have a special bar are the CA's... and ones with Nismo mounts.

I seem to remember the Nismos sitting higher when I looked into on them on my old s13. I've still got some Cusco mounts in my old car (the parts car now). I may try those but hockey pucks seem more surefire.

Either that or just tie into the firewall and not go over the engine at all.

fired up first time and idled perfect , but when I turned the key off, it wouldn't turn off. Had to pull alt fuse in order to do so.

Is there any common wire that is crossed or mixed up that provides power from switch to both fuel pump and ignition?

I'm thinking ignition switch may be faulty as the car ran fine before and the wiring harness out of another car ran great before as well.

Heres the wiring

Grey Plug

Blue/Green - Blue/GreenBlack/White - Black/WhiteRed - --------- - RedGreen/Yellow - Green/YellowBlack/Red -----Black/Red + Blue/Red

Brown PlugBlack/Pink ----Black/PinkGreen/Orange - Green/OrangeBlack/yellow ---Black/YellowRed/Black ----Red/BlackBrown------Brown

Dash plugOrange - OrangeBlack --- BlackBlue/Black - Blue/BlackYellow/Red - Yellow/RedYellow/Green - Yellow/GreenBlue/Green - Blue/Green

If you see anything wrong, please let me know thank you

All the hvac controls are back in.. dash is back in thanks to Dan and I. Carl H is coming to finish wiring Thursday hopefully and that should be it!

You need to show how clean you ran your intercooler piping

well because of the previous wiring i fried my ECU, ignitor, MAF. Coil harness was bad, coil 4 was bad. So i got all the probs fixed besides the MAF, which is on the way but here are some final pics of the engine set in and all. misc body panels and strut bar a missing lol.

First up, my FMIC nathan (body friend) helped me mount FMIC and piping. looks REAaalLL clean

up next, shots of the motor enjoy!

waiting on that MAF and i will be driving the car. trying to balance, schook, work, car and girl all in one schedule. soon it will be ready for the track!

its been a while guys. :monkey: started to lose coolant and was trying to figure out where it went. found trace of it in oil pan and decided to do head gasket, timing chain, etc etc and refresh the whole motor. ;) then realized turbo seals are basically gone and gotta rebuild. so thought i'd update with a collage of me and my buds tearing into motor. enjoy! :chuckle:
