Well synthetics usually have higher detergent content and are thinner in nature than conventional oils of the same weight. I was told if you haven't used full synthetic since it was new not too because it can leech by gaskets and rings. My advise ASAP goto a blend (valvoline durablend maybe) or back to conventional oil 10w-40 or 15w-40 is good if you have alot of miles. GL
