Hey, I have a slightly larger intercooler, for side mount, it will allow you to bosst more, not as much as a FM but lot more than the stock one, It comes with the piping to, I think it came of a CA motor, but has custom piping for it to fit on a S13in the pic, it is the larger one so you can see the difference in size.i have piping for it .so let me know if you are interested.

I've been looking for a used s15 or ARC side mount for a couple of weeks as well. No luck on ebay or zilvia. Kinda hesitant to order one of Yahoo Japan due to shipping.

Well maybe I should just buy the damn Blitz front mount instead.

I know GReddy made a larger side mount as well. Every now and then you will see one pop up on ebay. But fo the most part they are hard to find. Why the larger side mount as opposed to the front mount? Not trying to change your mind just curious.

a smic would give me a sleeper look, and i think i will have less turbo lag compare to a fmic(i'm not sure if this is correct) and i have all the plumming for my stock smic(look at my pix)

a MKIV supra sidemount is huge and very capable (heck the car makes 320hp stock). Custom piping neccesary of course...

Looks good! There is another guy on here with his car in his sig and he painted his black but left "GReddy" masked out, looks very nice by the way. As for lag... if there is any you'll never notice. The fact that it is up in front of everything else gives it the ability to cool the air more efficiantly. My car pulled so much harder when I upgraded to the FMIC, still 10psi. If you think about it, look how far that cold pipe has to go in order to reach the side mount. I just dont want to see you regret a decision and the money you've spent. So if your worried about lag...forget about it.As for your sleeper look... spray it black. Any loss in efficiancy would be barely measurable.

That's the IC I have. Painted it black to keep it on the down low.

The price was right for me. Installation wasn't too tough. I trimmed the back side of my bumper support and it all fit fine.

What do you do when you spray paint it, does the paint clog any of the fins or anything?

i was wondering the same thing

but really dont get a side mount, for one they just dont flow enough air, if u have ever drivin an sr with a smic compared to a fmic at the same psi the fmic will pull so much harder, and second they just dont get enough air to them to really keep temps down. just my opinion but do what u want..

If you know how to spray paint it shouldn't.

Hold the can away from your project. Use full, even passes. And don't spray too much at a time. It took over an hour to fully spray my intercooler. Lightly mist your surface, let it dry a bit, then mist it again.

itll lag a little, but believe me its worth it, when that boost hits, you wont regret your decision. The Greddy kits are great, and there are plenty of ways to keep it hidden, like V mounting the radiator and FMIC together, or painting it.
