Smell
Smell
So I was driving today and I started getting a smell of burning ruber from the car, but no smoke just smell. this happened before aswell. It smelled like the coating on wires were burning. I pulled over, opened the hood and there was no abnormal smell. Checked tires and everything and nothing. Anyone get this?

Yep, but I suspect it might be the aluminized coating on the exhaust burning off. We've got 3,600 miles on our V and still have the smell, albeit not nearly as bad as it was when brand new four months ago.

I've experienced that smell too. It's like a burnt rubber smell and I get that after I drive for a long period of time. My car is a CVT and has a little over 1050 miles. I may have to deal with it for a while.
