I got the chance to hear mine from outside the car. I let a trusted friend make a couple of WOT runs on the road on front of the house.I think that mine sounds terrible! Its poppy and reminds me of an old dodge truck.

kinda funny story, I noticed my car had gotten louder over the past month... go to change my oil last week and see that the little bent pipes I put on weren't there I have no idea where they went, could have been knocked off by some hilly roads

I have heard my car from the outside also and while it doesn't sound like a car, it still is bad ***. However I do plan on running pipes to the rear when I am done with the suspension rebuild.

ok, someone please tell me how to get that massive muffler off. All bolts are removed except for the two on the right pipe. Everything is so old and rusted (I even broke one bolt on the left pipe while trying to get it off!(it was so tight it just twisted off). Did anyone else have a problem with their's.

You'll have to cut it off with a grinder or cut off wheel.

Busted the U-Bolt on mine trying to get it off. Never bothered to take it off after that. It's still on there without the U-Bolt...

technically you shoud be able to pull it off but with a 10-15 year old exhaust system all bets are off... Thats assuming you have hte U bolt and the bolts on the flange removed

Cool evening last night. Had to make a short run back to the house on country roads and return befire dinner was served. Windows down, sunroof open. The stock exhaust was moaning a throaty roar on acceleration like a mountain lion. A beautifully wrought sophisticated siren's song from the dual cam 4 valve V8, a sound one cannot get from Americansky V8 iron.
