Sluggish...No power at beginning of gears

Ok well heres a question. I did the timing chain swap and head swap i did 3 times so im good with those two areas. Other than that how much more involved is it? I know wiring is probably involved and i dont expect myself to be able to do that but i have a few friends that could help. I may end up taking it to my friends shop where he actually dropped out his ka24e and put in a rb25det. Maybe he can cut me soem sort of livable break.

One more thing. I just searched for this but couldnt find a whole lot. I found a topic where a guy asked it flat out once but no one answered. Will the ka24e transmission bolt up to a 98 ka24de or would i need a de transmission as well? Im really really on a budget so im gonna need exactly what ill need.

wow I lost site your car was a KAe engine not a DE. If you were to go to the 98 you would need ECM,harnesses, and all manifolds. Not sure on the trans myself. Try posting and se if anyone has an e they wanna part with that would be much easier and cheaper for you.

The guy has the engine, harness, and all manifolds for me just not the trans since he used it for his sr swap. All for i believe $450 - $550. Just need to know about the trans.
