I have searched this one out, I am really thinking about doing a sleepy eye conversion. But the thing that I find on every thread on here, doesnt seem to be permanent. It seems like once you do it, you have to keep adjusting them. I want something that is permanent. Something that works all the time. I have seen some sleepy eyes that never go back down. they are always in the up position. Is that a poor job? Or just how some of them look?

If anyone has any info regarding this, Please let me know! thanks!

It is not a good idea because your headlights will be effectively useless for their one true purpose ... ... .... lighting up the road in front of you.

I don't actually know how everything is hooked up and works with the headlight assemblies but couldn't you get them into the position you want and then pull out the harness from the motors?

I always thought you put sleepy eyes during the day/dusk and put em up for the night? You get the best of both worlds.

That or purchase a headlight controler from Pivot and wire it into the main harness.

I love sleepy eyes, check this out.you know the button that is to put your lights up and down with out turning them on? well rip the ***** out and cut the brown cable. turn your lights on, and the lights should pop up. press the button, turn the lights of and they should stay up. now double click the button fast and adjust as desired. you gotta double click it fast though, its really quick to go down. I thought every one knew this ok man, good luck and let me know how it goes, you'll like it.

The pivot headlight controller will give you the funtionality you are looking for. Yes there are other ways to do it, yes some people think pivot's controller is a rip off, however I am completely happy with mine. It allowed me to set the angle I wanted my lights during day hours, and allows me full functionality of headlights. If you decide to go this route I did a write up on the install. zerothread?id=209331
