Ok hopefully this helps some people out because after searching for hours and not coming up with the info I needed I decided to save others those hours of searching.

This article is for installing the Pivot headlight controller on a 93 240sx.

First you will need a good set of wire strippers, plyers, and inline wire connectors, (recommended not in the install kit) phillips head screw driver, and a 10mm socket wrench.

start by unscrewing the poprivots holding the door sill on. after this is removed remove the drivers side kick panel.

Behind this you will find your fuse box and closer to you 2 boxes bolted to the body. One is white which is located on the outside of the body (visible after removing kick panel and one black box that is bolted to the inside of the body. The black box is the one that controls the headlight timing.

*MAKE SURE TO DISCONNECT NEG. BATT. TERMINAL BEFORE STARTING!*

1.) Cut the Pink wire with the black tracer on the ten pin connector that is at the bottom right corner if you are looking at the backside of the connector plugged into the black headlight timer unit. Be sure that you cut this wire in the middle to leave enought room to strip and splice in the wires from the pivot unit.

2.) Connect the black wire from the pivot unit to the connector side of the pink wire.

3.) Connect the yellow wire to the body/harness side of the cut pink and black wire.

4.) Undo the knee kick panel by undoing the 8 bolts and the 2 screws that connect the hood release to the knee kick panel. Once this is removed you can gain access to the 12V+ wire from the ignition This wire is white with a red tracer, and will be in the main ignition bundle.

5.) Connect the Gray wire from the pivot unit to this 12V+ constant. I used an inline wire connector the (clip kind). to avoid cutting this wire.

6.) Make sure that all of your connections are firm and well taped.

7.) Ground the red wire with the inline fuse on any solid grounding point. I chose to ground it to the screw that attaches the black Headlight retractor unit to the body.

8.) Make sure to secure your loose wires and find a place to mount the pivot control box.

9.) *MAKE SURE TO RECONNECT YOUR NEG. BATT. TERMINAL BEFORE TESTING THE UNIT* Turn the dial to about 40 degrees on the control unit and hit the button on your dash that makes the lights flip up. They should go up to full position. Hit the button once again to make them go down and it should stop half way, or where ever you set it to stop. If the unit is not working properly you may try checking your connections, and check to make sure the inline fuse is still intact.

I hope this was useful to you all. I wish I had it during my install Goodluck!thanks to: Vancouverbc for helping me through my install issues.

I am by no means promoting pivot in posting this walkthrough..I was simply trying to save some other members the headaches that I went through in installing this kit, and by posting the walkthrough prevent this topic from ever being posted again.
