Why do you want us to delete it? It actually shows your progression and also shiows members how plans can change. And lastly, it shows your workmanship and dedication to what you're doing, so there is no gain in removing it. But it is your thread, so if you insist, one of us will pull the plug on your old thread. Excellent job and hopefully you don't get burned-out like some of us who have spent so much money and time and just hit that "phuck-it" spot :gapteeth: .

Holy mother of God. I'm in love. lol
Be awesome to do something like that with my car, though it's kinda just got worse since I got it tbh. Bought it in 07 for 2 grand, daily'd it for about 4 years, brother wrecked it and killed the engine a few months ago, so I figure I may as well get started doing what I really want to do with it. 95 240SX though :o

Nice inlet!

I have some questions about your setup.
Arent you afraid of the cylinderwalls being too thin with 85mm bore?, are you running concrete filled block?.
What turbo are you going to use?
Whats your power goal?

Keep the updates coming!

Nah....... Aw...... You dont have to.... But since the last thread, My life has changed around.
Feb 2011, I got the chance to work in Australia for 3 months on the last harry potter film. I took this offer up... This trip to Australia from NZ was the first time I had spend away from my "at the time" girlfriend of 7 years, After getting over there, Making some awesome friends, Doing what i wanted, and losing almost 30kg, I realized i was depressed with my current partner back home in NZ, and realized she was controlling me. This ex I had brought a house with and built her car up which made 258rkwk out of her ca18det 180sx also. So I pulled the plug on the current situation before It got any worse. Upon getting back to New Zealand I had a legal fight for 3 months and ended up buying the ex out of the house ( will be paying that loan off for 6 years on top of my mortgage). While this was going on, I caught up with one of my and my ex's old good mates, Jodi, Known her for about 7 years, But had no contact within the last 2.5 as my ex was to controlling.
This was in June, Jodi came to see me for a week or so, and never left...... Now we are happily engaged... She has two children a 4 year old girl and a 1.2 year old son who I have called my own! Shes also into her cars, Shes owned about as much cars as I have... which is a decent amount. So...to cut the story and reasoning of deleting the old thread short.... I have alot about my ex in there which i want no memory or anything of.

I know this is not car related but, attaching a picture of me and my Fiance and new family' .........

Thanks heaps man, People like you give me drive... people wanting updates, People being interested.... this car has been off the road for 6 years!

boost_boy
I know its a good guide of whats happened in the past, You can leave it there now... ill just go through and remove things to do with my ex!
I went from cheap chinese everything... to authentic japanese everything....

Buttons06
Take your time bro... mine has taken so long because I took it off the road before I had all the parts!!!

tommey
I think at the end of the day, The cyllinder walls will last depending on the tune, Temperatures in the combustion chamber and everything else. My engine builder is a world known rally car builder, mainy focused on old datsuns, and gitr pulsars. to no the car will be daily driven!! haha lol..... Should be fun.
The turbo i have brought is a Garrett gt3582R, Although It has a t04z Compressor wheel, and a .58 twin scroll rear housing.
Power Goal....... Hm..... As much as I can get ? lol... done really have a figure in mind.

ks13
I found the intake manifold and itb setup in Japan, Thought I had to have it... Just the intake along has cost me well over 5,000 USD. That is minue injectors, Rail and and bolt on items.
I find alot of my rare parts on YAJ and bring them in, Like my genuine BN Sports inverted hatch, And alot of other rare goodies.
I am in the process of putting the manifold all back together after matching all the ports. So once this has been assembled and cleaned... I will post up alot more pics of my sexy sexiness.
From what i can gather, The manifold is from a 1982 F2 Super silhouette s110 HKS Promo car.
and yup.... loctite lol.... haha.... i am slowly putting back in all my suspension... but i need to go and get some more bits powder coated, and some nice bolts :)

consider getting all portions of that inlet manifold dowel pinned for alignment reasons before you go matching it. Some simple "around" stud dowels is all it will need. It will still need matched, but this way here its spot on always and forever.

lil update -
I have ordered some flush mount washer and bolts for the engine bay! Anodised gold washers and stainless bolts, Also have ordered a few reservior socks, And last but not least have ordered some CNC Machined radiator mount brackets, polished alloy with some custom engraving in them.... :) Ah...... The little bits I can do now! Does anyone know whats I need to do to sand out some small runs in the clear coat ? Do I use somthing like a 2000Grit Wet and dry sand paper ?? Then Some fine cutting compound and then a wax to get it looking like it is now?

I have much respect for you because you didn't have to go in-depth about your life, but you did anyway and it tells me "truly" what kind of man you are. You'd be surprised that you and I are not so different at all, though we live miles apart and have different cultural backgrounds, I can relate to some of what you've been through. I say if you're man enough to take on "Jodi and her princesses" then do it and make it count. Takes a special woman to make a man take that plunge, especially with her extra troopettes, but it speaks volume as well. And if she loves cars and adores what you're doing, then making her your wife is the right thing to do because she is indeed a gem. keep up the good work and maybe you can inspire me to finish-up some projects and/or post some videos or something. I spend most of my time building CA18s for good people, but never get the time to work on anything of my own. Lastly, reading your story truly made my day. And to the rest of you, controlling women are as bad as cheating men, so do yourselves a favor avoid that type of person at all cost.

P.S. You guys are a lovely couple and the kids are just as gorgeous.

To take care of the run, start with some 1500 wet/dry. Use that till the run is gone. Then switch to the 2000 wet/dry till all the sanding scratches from the 1500 are gone. It should be mostly clear now, but maybe a little hazy. Then hit it with a buffer and buffing compound. Should look like new.

I like using a razor or nib file to knock down runs, then a quick hit with some 2000 and buff out.

Haha thanks heaps dude, We truly are a happy couple, And I have no shame or anything to hide, I'm a pretty open person and so is my Fiancée, We went out and picked up our rings the other day :) Truly stunning rings! I am not trying to criticize you, but that turbo and those cams do not match.
The turbo is not a "high" hp turbo and the cams are for massive power levels.
IMO those cams should be sold to someone who wants to build a NA engine.
With so small turbine you would be better off with stock cams.
Again, just some of my thoughts and not criticism.

You might be right in a sense, but he may want to slap on a GT42R and go for dyno bragging rights ;). I've even put my monster 312 degree cams down for JUN 272 cams with the 10.5mm lift on solid lifters because I felt the 272s were more useable with the type of turbo I plan on running which was originally the T04ZR, but those plans have changed. All depends on what the car's primary function is, though changes can be made on the fly.
