Nice car man, I just realized you live in OK. I live in the same area just more in Owasso and Tahlequah. I don't really know many people with 240s around here.

Super clean man, the lip and the fog lights kind of bring together the front end.

Thanks a lot man. She's got her ups and downs. But so does every car. I'm just glad that I have the opportunity to build the car. Even tho it's running me tight on cash. Oh well, it will be worth it in the end.

Ya you're right, I would've chased you down but I was going the opposite direction lol. You should go to the humble meet in Owasso November 8th.

Yeah... That's not a good idea. I used/still kind of work at a performance shop called VDP Motorsports. I'm sure you've heard of our shop. All the Humble people don't really like me to much. It's not my fault we took all there business.

Oh lol, I'm sure nobody would care but it's up to you man. Ya I've been at VDP a few times for the dyno day and what not. I also sold a vafc to someone there off my old civic lol.

It's probably just a better idea for me not to go. I'm not one for drama. Besides I'll be to busy doing the swap in my car. Haha. But be sure and stop by sometime man.

spooled240 wrote:^ i see, well then like Adrian said-Finish up suspension and make the car ready for the rb25. I would recommend brakes as well to handle the added HP.

I have to say from my personal experience that 250rwhp on stock suspension is not very fun other than a straight line...just recently I have installed decent suspension mods like sway bars, and solid sway bar and TC rod bushings and I'm loving them so far
Agreed. Do basic suspension work first. Might be able to eek out with some aggressive pads + SS lines at first, but Z32 calipers would be ideal.

I wish I had an S14 because the stock R33 sway bars that I have will bolt up, along with the rear sub-frame.

RB25> SR20. But it is more work and more involved, yet has a better payout in the end. LSx >all though

More recently I have begun to wish I had not done my swap, simply because it places me in an 'Unlimited' class..

Your car looks slick. Now get out there and bash the hell out of it learning to drift!

Yeah, I had planned on doing the rest of the suspension set up after the swap. 300zx brakes and master cylinder, traction rods, ball joints, the usual suspension upgrades.

As for drifting, I've already been beating on the KA. Haha. I go out and practice as much as I can.

Well the KA went to **** last night. I was driving it fine and then all the sudden it wouldn't go past 2,500 RPM. So I was like alright, either something's wrong with the MAF or the ECU, because it was in limp mode. So I drove the car to a friends house where I had torn apart his car because of a blown motor, and swapped out the MAF's. Same thing.

So today I swapped out the ecu's and it did the same thing. But now ran like ****. Before it would run fine just not go over 2,500 rpm. Now it acts like the MAF isn't plugged in. Hardly idles and runs horrible. So i change the plugs, plug wires, and dizzy. Doing them all one at a time to see which it was. Still does the same thing. I have no idea what it is. But it doesn't really matter cause I'm doing the swap this weekend. But I have to put my motor in my friends car. So i guess we will see how that goes. I think the SAFC is what is messing it up. Whoever did the wiring for the SAFC did a crazy hack job and it's real bad. So that might be where the problem is.

I don't know. We will see I guess.

Just curious - what were you doing when the KA took a dive? Was it from valve float, guide failure?

I was just driving it when it started to act up. I think it was the MAF wiring. Because it was acting like the MAF wasn't responding.

Thanks for the comments guys!
