I was thinking 5 inch would be a lot lower. My old S14 sat about that same ride height with Eibach, but I'm sure without RUCAS it'd be hard to go lower. Don't forget about the t/c rods too as your toe will go out of whack once you fix your camber. Have you tried putting hose clamps on your exhaust hangers to raise your exhaust up higher? That's all I use for my car and it pulls my muffler all the way up to bumper. It'd go higher if I had more room for it to go higher.greenmachine240 wrote:and i am going to my auto class at school and cutting my exhaust hangers and welding them shorter to rais the exhaust up a bit (all welding donw by me)
Sorry I don't have any pics as I'm in Korea and my car is in WA at the moment. But it's really simple. You wrap the hose clamp around the outer part of your exhaust hanger. As you tighten down the hose clamp, it compresses the exhaust hanger and raises your exhaust up. Hopefully you get that, if not then maybe somebody else can explain it better. Once you figure it out though, you'll realize how easy it is.greenmachine240 wrote:hose clamps?
Do tell and pics would me great
Same thing happened when I put mine on for the first time.Check your pre-set on the springs. You want them to be snug, not tight, but not loose. Also go buy a can of lithium grease, and some zep lube. Spray the mounts and all places that look like they have a purpose to move. This eliminated the problem for me. Also a couple days of daily driving might help too, they are settling in.greenmachine240 wrote:oh and quick question to all sesioned low riders
my coil springs (i think) make this weird noise when i turn, like they sound like they are compressing and making a springing noise hahawhat is it??
and second, after i make a turn, the wheels will come back but what to turn in that direction, like pull that way
i know that because i went low, all the caster and camber is messed up, but is that the only thing?
and lastly, my brakes are squiking soooooo much!!! only when i stop tho
they didnt do it before i slammed her....any advice or anything =
I don't know if you understand what im saying I might just be stupid but, I am talking about the spring itself. Make sure it is not hanging but just sitting on the collar and touching the upper mount. If you put to much preload on them they will want to bind.greenmachine240 wrote:Well the preload colar and the locking colar I just used the wrenches to hand tightn together
Think it's to much?
It's annoying my springs, but I was thinking that they need to be worn in....
yupp.i think i'm lower then that with my 10.5's....Dittoz7 wrote:Now Just Get Some 17x9/10.5.
