I took my fender off, and relocated it with zipties above the ledge at the top of the fender. Took around 30-45 minutes total.

I just made a thread about my wheels but here is some pics so you can see

I don't really feel like going and taking off a wheel and taking a picture up there but Im pretty sure theres a DIY thread or something somewhere that shows it.

I was thinking 5 inch would be a lot lower. My old S14 sat about that same ride height with Eibach, but I'm sure without RUCAS it'd be hard to go lower. Don't forget about the t/c rods too as your toe will go out of whack once you fix your camber. Have you tried putting hose clamps on your exhaust hangers to raise your exhaust up higher? That's all I use for my car and it pulls my muffler all the way up to bumper. It'd go higher if I had more room for it to go higher.

oh and quick question to all sesioned low riders

my coil springs (i think) make this weird noise when i turn, like they sound like they are compressing and making a springing noise hahawhat is it??

and second, after i make a turn, the wheels will come back but what to turn in that direction, like pull that way

i know that because i went low, all the caster and camber is messed up, but is that the only thing?

and lastly, my brakes are squiking soooooo much!!! only when i stop tho

they didnt do it before i slammed her....any advice or anything =

Sorry I don't have any pics as I'm in Korea and my car is in WA at the moment. But it's really simple. You wrap the hose clamp around the outer part of your exhaust hanger. As you tighten down the hose clamp, it compresses the exhaust hanger and raises your exhaust up. Hopefully you get that, if not then maybe somebody else can explain it better. Once you figure it out though, you'll realize how easy it is.

nvm, I'm at work and really bored so here you go. I drew it up for you.

Like I said before though, your once you fix your camber, you'll be toe out in the rear. You'll need atleast some adjustable t/c rods to fix that problem. The problem with brake noise shouldn't have anything to do with your coilovers. Maybe you might've just gotten some dirt or grease on your rotors while working under there.

Same thing happened when I put mine on for the first time.Check your pre-set on the springs. You want them to be snug, not tight, but not loose. Also go buy a can of lithium grease, and some zep lube. Spray the mounts and all places that look like they have a purpose to move. This eliminated the problem for me. Also a couple days of daily driving might help too, they are settling in.

I also highly suggest you get some RUCA's and Adj. Toe rods and immediately get an alignment. It helps tremendously.

tomorrow after work I'll hit it with lithium greese...As for rucas and toe arms, I get paid on SaturdayI'm getting pbm rucas and toes

Annd alignment the following Monday

I lock tight everyhing on the coils and toqued everything to spec and I used a sqrew driver and hammer on the lock rings

I do need to lower the front an inch and relocate my harness and thirsday I'm making a metal under brace at my school, instead of the g@y plastic one

Yea, I locktite mine too but after a while with the screwdriver over the past year I have kinda scratched up my collars so I found it easier to just put one of the wrenches on it and hit it with a hammer instead.

Make sure you see that those presets arent too tight as that could be why the springs are popping!

Well the preload colar and the locking colar I just used the wrenches to hand tightn together

Think it's to much?

It's annoying my springs, but I was thinking that they need to be worn in....

Looks a tad bit better than stock but still looks like crap IMO. 4 lug S14's make baby Jesus cry. Get 5 lug hubs from a part out, get good fitting wheels, get adjustable arms, and get an alignment.

I don't know if you understand what im saying I might just be stupid but, I am talking about the spring itself. Make sure it is not hanging but just sitting on the collar and touching the upper mount. If you put to much preload on them they will want to bind.
