And today me and a friend are going to start pulling things off and checking what's what...

Here's a few pictures if you're too lazy to open up the link

Anyways, later on I'll post up my plans but for now I'm going to head over to the garage and start removing tint and panels... And try to clean the thing...

Check your links alot of those are not showing up.

Rust is the number one killer of Z cars of any generation (well I am sure the 350 and 370's are fine). You could probably find something less rusty to start with if you wanted to, but if you have your heart set on that one looks like the body rust will be the toughest project.

My 84' garage queen has rust in the rear tire compartment which I had completely cut out and behind the tail lights where I got hit and the insurance company insisted on using used parts which leaked. My Z has been garaged 99% of the time so no big body rust, but most all have the mother rust somewhere or everywhere.

So why this car? Don't get me wrong I love the thought of saving a derelict castoff but it would be a lot cheaper to start with a car thats not so far gone in so many ways.

Well, I was expecting a lot worse when I went to see it, but then I drove it and the Damn thing drives straight. So I said I'd get it anyways because I know I would get my money back anyways on the motor and transmission... I've already gotten an offer for 900$ in my introduction thread...

But other than that, plans are in a year or so, to find a clean shell and swap everything over... For now I've just been hooning the living crap out of it... Timing's off... But that's a plan for a few weeks down the road...
