This is the most retarded thread I have seen in a long, long while.

thats a little extreme and alot more of a styling change then going to a single lug setup.... tires for those rims would be hella expensive though.

i know, it was just to make a point that i apparently couldn't make earlier.

If those Work wheels are rice, then so be it. But if you don't like to see imports done like imports (or JDM style) then buy an american made car. Because some people like the jdm styling and will always do it to their car. Granted, some mods on certain cars are rediculous but done the way a true JDM tuner shop would (Top Secret, JUN, Veilside, etc.) they are merely fashionable to the JDM way. And any of those shops would build a car you could never dream of building.

Most car people that build american cars call all imports rice. Only in a forum like this would an import owner call someone elses import rice.

I guess what I am trying to say is, if it's not your style, fine, don't buy them for your car. But don't come in here going "WTF" and making wild assumptions without knowing all the facts. Those wheels are selling for $1300 for the set. No where near $10,000. And someone does make them, unlike someone posted earlier that "no one would make them for a street car". If you don't like them, fine, but let the rest of us that do talk about them in peace without you yelling "ricer" and whatever else you think just because you don't like them.

You might like to take it up the ***, I don't, and I don't care if you do, but I am not going to say "WTF you doing that for, that's gay". Do what you want.

TURBO, they do make them in 10" wide. So a set of 265's or 275's would fit fine. Granted, those sizes are more expensive than 205's, but not as bad as paying $3600 a wheel.

we tighten them to 407 ftlbs with a multiplying torque wrench. we loosen them with the same wrench. too much pounding force is used with an impact and would ruin the lug. right side lugs are blue, left side is red. this is due to left handed threads on the right side.

Matt, thanks. Nice to see someone wanted them. Thanks anyway.

Ryan, Thos are cool. Stock Porsche right? And yeah, I realize the threads would have to be opposite on the car. Wouldn't want to spin the nut off during hard acceleration.

sexy. Now you can see why if your Carrera gets a flat on the side of the road why you have to get it towed to a Porsche dealership for them to change the tire. I laughed when I heard that my dads friend (drives a 997 turbo) got a flat in the boonies in south carolina and had to get it towed a hundred or so miles to a dealership lol.

But back on topic- I like the idea of the single lug deal- because it would make it nice and easy to change a wheel (besides the 407 lb/ft of torque to break loose...) But overall it isn't practical (at all) in a monetary sense, or just in general, it would be a pain in the a** to get one of those double ended breaker bars for two people to pop that nut loose.

Oh but for anyone who wants an F1 "style" centerlock wheel... just buy this, and do a mad tyte swap...

+1 for the McLaren.

ANd I will have to check with Work and Dayton to see what their torque specs are on their adapters.

'96 R33 GT-R already Legalized- $12,900, it's a theft recovery

This is 1996 Nissan Skyline GT-R that was stolen from tuner's shop and then recovered by the shop's insurance company. It has been fully federalized for use in the US. Known Defects: The ignition switch is damaged and will require replacement, it is missing the rear wing and has sustained some vandal and mechanical damage. Will be sold as is. A good marketable title will be provided to the buyer.

Someone can make some money with that, or just have a fun GT-R for 20,000 ish.

That car's been on there for years. I was actually going to buy it when I bouhgt my 240sx 3 years ago. Probably should have. I spend $25k on the 240. Would have had a nice GT-r for that.

haha yeah, I told myself I wouldn't go over 10k on the 240, I just hit that, so now i'm saying no more than 12-15k total before I buy a 350z or something comparable.

Another name for them is Knock Offs. I know what he's talking about with the lowriders. A good deal of the Daytons and other cheaper wire wheels I have seen were center lock. They were conversions though. I can't remember what brand, perhaps SSR or BBS made some of their meshies with a center lock conversion.
