Well I know I'm getting some FN's in 17x9 +20 in either silver or bronze from SPL. The bronze are already made, the silvers will be made this spring. So I'm trying to decide which color to get, bronze or silver.

Here are the pics again. I have other pics of my car if you cant get the angle right with this one.

Pic of my car.

The wheels in silver.

And the bronze.

Later on the windows will be tinted and the car will be repainted to a candy apple type color (moreless a little darker then stock 240 red). Please help me decide what do to, I go back and forward everyday.

Now I know this is going to sound like a stupid question but......are these the only wheels that are wide that fit the 240 that are affordable and look decent? It seems like every 3rd or 4th 240 I see has them. I mean they're great looking wheels and all, but talk about common.

Neither.

Red cars needz t3h gold rims. It looks fantastic.

I guess bronze would do, but gold ftw.

And lose the pinstripe, and paint that black strip the same color as the car.

Common yes, sadly. But they are the only good looking wheel in 5 spoke with a good offset that arn't $500 bucks a wheel in 4 lug.

I need to do some body work before I can paint it. I hope it wont cost to much.

I was thinking maybe painting the wheels gold. But I dont know how good it would come out.

I'm shocked that everyone is in way favor of the bronze.

I almost got the BRM exhaust but to me from the pics I've seen it looks like a meaty muffler with a small hole. Thats the apperance it gives me. So I ordered the Megan exhaust in 3" and then they were on back order I found out after I paid for it. So I got my money back and just decided to get the SSauto Chrome in dual. I would have gone the single but the dual has the resenator and two mufflers, and its still freakin loud. Oh well, I'm happy with it over all. Where the piping is right under the axle and the resenator and driveshaft clearance are my biggest scares.

The FN's weigh in at 17lbs for the 17x8 +35, which is what I'm running on my red hatch. I'll whore it up here for you and show you what your car would look like on bronze FNs and Tein S-Techs, w/o the mismatched hatch of course.

Thank you repo. I think I might go bronze.

I would love to get 57c's in gold but thy only have then in 17x7.5 in +22 and I want 17x8-9's. They do make a 17x8 +35 I think but I would rather have then offset around +20-22 for fitment (I dont want to pull the fenders). Thats why I decided to go FN's. Otherwise I would rather get 57c's.

Since people seem to like my car (thanks for the kind words ) I'll post a couple more pictures to show better what the wheels look like on the car.

+35 is nearly flush in front but could use a 5-8mm spacer in the back...ignore the sunken rear in this pic, thats just the camber elves giving me too much fender clearance...-3* camber FTW.

**EDIT**

My friend has 17x8.5 rears, and he runs them without a pull (as seen here). Depends on the sidewall profile of your tire.

Well dang that looks freakin hot. I've always wanted to ask you for more pics of your car AmoebAssassin, I've always LOVE it. Couple questions for you tho. First you say +35 is almost flush but your +30 not +35 right? They dont make 57c's in +35. Only +30. Second, what size tires are you running? If they made 57c's in 17x8.5 +30 I would get them in a heart beat but they only make them in +40 and I want a lower offset then that. And 7.5 is to skinny of a wheel for me. Otherwise I love the 57c's. Anyother Ideas on 57c's?

I do care about flushness but not as much as I care about total wheel width. I just like a wide wheel when you look at it from behind. It looks so much more sexier then a skinny wheel.

I made a typo in my last post. I meant 8.5 not 8 and they dont make 17x8.5 in +35...I typoed and meant +40.

Repo, what size tire are you running? You have the fenders rolled right? It doesn't look like their pulled.

Repo's running 17x8 +35

would you like 7 spoke by any chance? in that case i have a couple more ideas

personally i think 7.5 looks fine, whyd you say youll do 8 but not 7.5? you really cant tell the difference, especially since youll probably be running the same tire size for both those widths

Does anyone have a rear shot showing the wheels of 7.5's on the car?

Yea I would most likely run the same tire on 7.5's as to 8's. But I dont know, I guess I just think the extra 0.5 will let me run just a little meatier tire.

I will consider anything, but I'd rather have 5 spoke. What do you have in mind? I've looked at the Falken's but I dont like the way they looked.

Yeah I'm a moron, they are +30s all around. I believe they made them in +22 as well (not sure) and that would probably be an even better option. The tires are 215/35/17 hankook ventus HRII (cheap tires that came with the wheels for cheap).

Also, if +40 is too high an offset for you, just back it up with a 10mm spacer, that'll bring your net ET to +30

Ok you're asking us about our oppinion, but what about yours? What are you leaning towards? What we say shouldn't mean jack when it comes to your car! That being said...

[hypocracy]DON'T GET BRONZE! Anything but white, black, silver and gunmetal look disgusting on cars/bikes/trucks regardless of their paint scheme. Gold or bronze never look good on anything, hell even rings look better in titanium, white gold or platinum! [/hypocracy]

Just so you know, I'm also the guy that doesn't like body kits, undercar lighting, colored blinkers, leather seats and anything else I can ***** at later
