Hey its you lol. Where do you stay by? Dont worry I will not attempt to jack your car lol. So you got an SR huh, which version redtop, blacktop, VVT?

So did you get the engine block cleaned up as well? May I ask where you got it done and how much did that all cost you? Did you take it disassembled already or did they do EVERYTHING for you. Sorry for the world of questions..

Thank you for the compliment DriftBoy but, you already made a huge progress and I haven't. BTW: huge change of plans on the machine shop and the head. Instead, my car will be going to the body shop and if I have money left over I will use it for the head.

Oh and about the car meet, DriftBoy and I where thinking of a nice BBQ

Well i stay by Midway airport. Yea i got an SR and its the blacktop s15.I took the motor apart and gave the shop like the new oversized pistons new rings all new bearings, and the head, they bored out the block cleaned it for the head gasket same with the head and checked it for compression. for everything it costed me like $350, Car Quest told me $550! oh i 4got to mention that they put the bottom end together for me, well just the rings pistons bearing and crank. The shop is "WINDY CITY ENGINERRING" 3244 W 30th St. chicago Il 60623tel (773) 254-8113

Damn I want to say thats a hell of a price! You got all new stuff though, I just want to have it cleaned and inspected I guess. My car will not hit over 300whp soon so the stock bottom end is staying on for a while. The cylinder walls still have the criss hatch pattern and there is no sign of wear at the top so I want to say its still good.

Thank you for the shop number I might give them a call soon. Hey that shop is not far fom me I think.

Need s13 Silvia headlights and sides......

I will get Tomei 740cc injectors when I complete my setup. Im shooting for 400whp. For management Im sure Apexi Power FC will make its way into my car. What are your goals? Turbo upgrade?

so 740's huh. thats what i was thinking too. na no turbo upgrade yet. First i wanna max this one out. just to make over 300whp this summer, then will go from there. oh i was meaning to ask you, i seen that you had a thread about an LSD. which one did you go with. i got the s15 LSD sitting at home and im not sure if it will be good or not, like how good will it grip.

Cool I plan the same as you with the current oem turbo. However, your car must have more power than mine, bigger turbo and VVT.

About the LSD, I never got it since there was more important things to get first. But I'm almost positive I will get a Tomei lsd. I want a 1.5 way but not sure if Tomei makes one, so far I've only seen 2 way from them. If not, a KAAZ 1.5 way will make its way in there.

The s15 helical is nice. My friend owns an s15 Silvia and I got to ride in it. He did a burnout and it launched pretty quick. I know its better than a vlsd from a J30.

what SR do you have?the s15 that you got a ride in, was that anywhere by Midway Airport? cause there was one 4 sale now to far from my house.i guess im just gonna have to put the LSD in there and go do some doughnuts cause i sure dont want a 2 way and the 1.5 works pretty much like the s15 one so what the hek lol

I have an s13 redtop SR.

No not really by Midway. Its on Pulaski and I forgot what other street. He has a car dealer called BBB or Triple B. The car is silver in color. I made a thread of it here.

Yea you should be fine with the s15 helical, who knows I might end up with the same lol

The owner of the dealer is Bobby hes my boy and he still has the s15. Yea I kind of hated that STI, too wide of a body. He has a sick twin turbo Cobra

Yea he still has it. Oh yea I know plenty of people around, a little too many people I might add lol.

I did ride my car for about 5 months only, until my KA decided to spin a bearing. As soon as that hapened I took it straight to the garage and tore it down. The reason why its been like that for so long is well because Im kinda dumb when it comes to money management. I spent all my money buying good aftermarket parts for it and forgot the most important thing, the BODY itself. It has a hole by the left strut tower and more, so instead of fixing that I went off with the parts. I was unemployed for over 5 months so that set me back a lot.

BUT, my car is going to the body shop sometime next week and so is my head

Sorry no pics actually

Thanks DriftBoy07-

No pictures man, BUT I got my tax money

I could do the head myself no problem but I dont know how to shim it. I think I'm going to have them assemble it. Since my valve springs are kinda rusted, do you think the machine shop could clean them up and check the camshafts to see if they are ok?

Im a noob when it comes to machine shops

I dont think it would be a problem for them to check it out, but its a machine shop dont forget, not a auto place-they generally do all sorts of crap working with any kind of metals etc, not necessarily engines so they might not know crap.

At the least I would replace the springs, its a healthy investment at this point because your going to be running high boost and revving it to redline daily lol. The last thing you want is valve float

I have no experience with different springs in our cars but Brian Crower has a reasonably priced set from enjuku-> http://enjukuracing.com/brian-...4_188
