Hey, I kind of got an update. Nothing done to the car just yet but a bunch of goodies I have accumulated over the year. The "build" starts coming spring

anyway the crap >>

Apexi N1 exhaust

Apexi GT downpipe

Peak Performance exhaust manifold

Installed new studs today

Copper exhaust manifold gasket

DriftBoy07 the pretty blue hoses I told you about

Turbo and manifold assembly

I remember posting this somewhere. I had a problem with clearance so I got the bench grinder and ground off the intake tube to make room. It now sits perfect.

Sorry for the crappy phone pics, and remember the real update begins in spring time.

yay for an update! lol ILL people needa start posting progress. You might want to reconsider your downpipe though, I've read and seen people who have cracked their downpipes w/o Flex Pipe in there. Just some food for thought. When are you getting your head back from the shop? What'd they do it anyway? lol

driftboy- true flex pipes reduce the risk of cracking a down pipe, but i have a similar down pipe and it hasnt cracked at all, after being on teh cars for years

Thanks Ghast.

DriftBoy- I just filed my tax return stuff but haven't received my check yet. I will be getting it within 3 weeks, then its on. I called some guy from edsvalvegrinding.com to ask about a 3 angle valve job. I wasn't sure if I would need a tune after doing so on my engine (head) due to the added airflow. The guy told me that if I kept the stock cams I wouldn't need a tune although it would be good to scavange some extra power. So, I decided to go through with it, might as well.

About the downpipe, I know its a good thing to have some flex pipe in there and I've been looking into ebay for it. I found a 3" X 4" flex pipe I think it'll work. However, I don't really feel like cutting it, it looks sooo pretty

If anyone has some info or a comment on the 3 angle valve job let me know it will be greatly appreciated.

Yea I'm very exited can't wait. I want to disassemble it, but the big c clamp type valve spring compressor doesn't really work neither does the twist type. I need the one you bolt down the bars and slide the compressor over.

I take the risk because I'm a stubborn sob and because it will be nice to gain a few extra ponies.

Yes it is rust my dumbass had the bright idea to clean the head with water No problem though they will look pretty once again

The valve stem seals are stubborn, but I took care of them.

I totally forgot to take pics of the head, either way you wouldn't want to look at it its horroble. Off to the machine shop in a couple of weeks!!

i'm pretty sure the solenoid was fine. i've spoken to at least 4 other profec b owners and they all had the same issues

Thats odd hope mine works out ok.

Since we're discussing boost, my actuator is dented and I want to replace it. Most likely an HKS unit will work its way in there once everything is good to go. The HKS comes set at 11psi correct, so could I still use the Greddy boost controller to increase boost to lets say 13psi or so?

Eh, just found my own answer....http://www.frsport.com/HKS%201....html
