DriftBoy: I've done too much but I hate posting pics and stuff. I'm very lazy when it comes to this stuff.

Im sorry, I know this is supposed to be a "build" thread but, stuff happens. Im almost done with the welding. Every time I fix some rust I find new spots rusted Its very time consuming for me, especially since I work most of the time.

All I need to do now is paint the engine bay a nice color, re-install interior, install z32 brakes, coilovers, and other stuff. Motor mouts should come in within the month or so.

WC: thanks, I used that Duplicolor Metal Spec paint, good stuff. The pic is very crappy quality, you gotta see it in person to really appreciate it.

BTW: WC I will let you know when I need some help with the coolant hosing and stuff. That is if you're willing to give me a hand.

DriftBoy- Yea for sure man I gotta rep the Chi-side. There are few people around with 240s but nothing compared to what I will have. (yes I can say it with that authority lol) Dont worry man I WILL make it flashy lol.

WC- thanks man, I think I'm begingin to understand the hosing and stuff, just wanna make sure.

Do you guys think my 240 will look good with 180 sides, rear valances, and silvia front? Most of the people around here have s13 sides so I haven't found a pic to compare to mine.

Thanks man not much progress but I'm getting there. Im not really stuck on that, just want to make sure of whats the best setup.

Im not really hiding anything, sure there's a few goodies here and there but nothing breath taking.

So about my question? Anybody?

Another pic of horror...

I plan to cut all the rust off that section and just weld new metal not caring if it looks too good or not. The 180 valances will cover that up. I believe they cover all the way up to the black "tape" line we all hate so much.

Thanks for the support. I wont stop fixing it no matter what.

Do it!! Fix your 240 up as well. Actually, since you said you want to score a coupe, why not use that money to buy the car and slap everything from the hatch over to the coupe?

I dont have anywhere to store both cars and I would have to register the coupe here-and it wouldnt pass smog with the SR. Plus that money will be used to finish my car PROPERLY, not half assed which will make me feel alot better.

And hopefully by then Ill have somewhere to store the coupe and start building that while I drive tthe hatch urryday.

So I got somewhat of an update, just some pics of what I've been up to.

Just a mock up of what it might look like. Its missing the pig lip.

Front view

Some of my crappy welding. I still have to grind it though.

Do you guys think this will cause problems? Its a small chip.

This one is for you Type X guys....

Do you guys think this front bumper will flow with my Type X aero? (sides/valances) Im worried about the sides not looking good with it. Im asking because I dont really like the OEM front Silvia bumper and I want another one.

I would appreciate any help/comments/rants.

btw im stealing your project title. im now building the same thing, just bought a hatch an hour ago. Looking good so far! I think that bumper will be too much for the "subtle" type x aero.

You really think so? I mean the 180 sides are pretty agressive in my opinion.

Ey man ur project is ill. Why did u change your mind to silvia. Your 180sx front bumper looked really nice. Good luck with your project. And if your selling ur 180 front bumper im willing to purchase it.

That car looks hella sexy, BUT his fmic is upside down and is to small so that bumper looks kinda janky or maybe its because that is too large of a hole in the bumper. IF you like it though pick it up & get a nice lip

its hard to pull that bumper off without some sick wheels.oem skirts will not go because, they're too high.

you can do a vs type 2 front. big saggy side skirts and oem type x rear valence. with nice wheels that'll sook. I've only seen THREE sil80's that deserve to exist and not be burnt into flames. the first is this one.

this one is a 9.4/10

this one is a 8.3/10

and finally, 8.5/10

wheel fitment is the game changer. unless your wheels are sick no one's going to notice.

Kalypso: thanks I appreciate the help. Thats what I was looking to hear. Out of all the Version Select front bumpers I only like the one I posted, the type 2 is ok but not my 1st choice. BTW: the purple sil80 you posted is V2 right?

Are you sure you are not mistaken the sideskirts I have? The ones in the red car are not the Type X. I have Type X skirts, and I though they come down much lower than that.

These are the ones I have...
