this one so far wins the gets to be heckled by my post...seriously a eq sitting by your knee i would call that ghetto but even ghetto setups are smarter looking than that...and i wont even begin on the rest...tooo much to go off on. You don't seem to have put any thought into it or don't care and.....blah blah blah

first off, my setup is not "ghetto"... the EQ is not by my knee, it's further down, and doesn't come close to hitting any part of your leg, unless you're swinging your leg around all crazy... and is easy to access while driving instead of having to pop my trunk and get out just to adjust my settings...

second, i did/do care about my system which is why my speakers face ME, and not the cars BEHIND me... it's for my entertainment so I can hear the music, not the cars behind me... it's a clean setup with great sound...

and lastly, it's a custom box to fit my two 10's... which i didn't mind giving up my trunk space since I don't even use it... I have seen some pretty ghetto setups in my life, and mine is far from that...

Well, IMHO if you like what you did and it worked out the way you wanted it to, then hey man that is all that counts. I think you must of thought it out since your box is so big, you must be going for volume....I like your setup in that it is custom and you are willing to give up your trunk for your sound.

Where is your system? Just here being a troll as usual huh.

The EQ is where he can adjust it for different music types easily without leaving the driver's seat or having to lean over and open the glove box. It actually looks old school to me. Way back in the day when everyone had an EQ, that is where it usually went.

just a lil fyi, I am a female, not a guy... and I do love music, so giving up my trunk for sound didn't bother me...

Sorry for the "hey man" comment, wrong of me to assume. Did not know. Well in any case what's wrong with where you installed you EQ. If it is more convenient for the listener then more power to you. Trunk space is my only problem. I have a Hybrid Altima so I already have no trunk space but I also use my trunk space quite alot. I wish I could of fit two twelves but I already had to give up my spare tire to g et one 12 in there. Hope I don't need to use the spare anytime soon.

it's ok... no biggie... =) I like where my EQ is, specially since I listen to a lot of different types of music.... Such as rap, hip hop, r&b, rock, oldies.... way easier for me to change settings while driving, specially when you're doing 115 on the freeway...

GUys (and girls), please don't let vonvivo com in here and ruin your thread. Every system is unique in its own way... samantha obviously set her system up the way she wanted it. Most folks (including vonvio) don't even have EQ's installed in their setup. Its definitely old school to put the EQ down there.. I have a 140 band digital EQ and the controller for it is where the coin holder goes in the storage box used in vehicles with the tech package.

N-E-Way, I like your setup samantha, if only because its unique. Let's get some more positive posts up and discuss various setups, and the pluses and minuses. I intended for this thread to be as diverse as possible, so that folks that want systems can see a vaiety of setups before the make their purchase.

VONVIVO, I'll respectfully ask you this one time to please not troll my thread. Thank you sir!

Still waiting for some things to finish it up, but you get the idea.

Jl Audio 12" W7, JL 1000/1v2, JL 300/2v2, JL C5 components and an alpine head unit, plus a heck of a lot of sound proofing:)

Thanks, best part of all is that I managed to keep quite a bit of trunk space, and I still have a spare tire!

RaiderKID, do you have any better pictures of your boxes. Maybe outside of the car or a full picture of one of the boxes. It is hard to see how large the boxes actually are. I am in the process of making mine. I Have one of the corners glassed but I like how yours give that flat straight line I am thinking of extending it like you have. You have the cleanest install on a A/C Ive seen yet. Well except for doc's of course. lol Thats the same style I want my trunk to look, except my amps will be placed differently and my boxes will be painted instead of carpeted.
