Hey guys,

I've been reading NICO for several months and I'm finally about to take delivery of an unmolested, 76K mile, 90 white coupe. My first upgrade is going to be suspension but I'm torn between getting coils (Tein Basics or SS) or a solid spring/strut combo. So, while I've seen more cars slammed with coils than I care to count I cannot say I've seen an awful lot of cars lowered with springs/struts. Would any of you car to post a pic (preferably profile) of your ride with spring/strut combos so I can get an idea of how low of a drop I can expect? I would really appreciate it and this will give me an idea of if I'm going to spend several hundred bucks or over a grand. Oh, and no, "search" does not bring up a lot of specific results.

Thanks in advance.

You didn't see these threads when you searched? I think S14's looks okay with lowering springs but on S13's it's no where near the height I like.

That's pretty much how an S13 will sit on lowering springs. Some people like it some don't. Take into consideration what wheels you have also.

being owner of GR2 + 2" drop and AGX + 2" drop...go for coilover...fender/wheel gap is ugly...and coilover r cheap now adayz...check out project ebay...i think nismo240...is onto something...stay away from the k sport coilovers nothing but bad review on them...and i just rode in a coupe w/ them on nothing special...if u r on a budget save money...if not then spend w/e u can for a set of coilovers

It's not that I didn't find ANY when I searched. It's just that there are so few. I've seen the links you posted but thanks anyway. I think the majority of members have coilovers so that would explain it.

I'm considering the GR's and the Tein SS or Basics. There is a guy kinda close to me that has the SS for 900 and only installed them on his car once and it's still on jacks so I'm seriously considering those.

My coupe is strictly for street use though so that's why I was asking about spring/shock combos. I want the drop but not the rough ride but the Teins and Stances seem to be pretty good for those of us that aren't drifters.

Thanks for your input.
