if someone is in a building you own and you feel your scared for your life you can protect yourself, when im in public i dont "usually" dont have it on me, if i go into cedar ridge or majestic oaks to visit friends ill have it on me every time
So basically, you're ok with comitting a felony. Great. Stay the hell away.

Also, for the love of God, learn to type. Jesus, it's like cryptography!

You're brain is not developed enough to fully comprehend the consequences of a gun. Put it away.

Besides, most hand guns owned for "protection" end up being used ON the owner, as they are too scared/ inept to shoot. I'm not saying that you will be, but are you prepared to kill someone? Even killing someone for a good reason is not easy to live with. My Father shot and killed a crazed gunman while in the military and it still haunts him 30 years later. To the point he cries talking about it.

YOU are the reason Hash's argument makes any sense at all.

Also, you never got around to explaining how you carry that "9mm" around legally...
LOL!

And here we see the inherent peril in party politics. All in a given political group are, like it or not, responsible for the actions and statements of the dullest members of their own camp.

And yes, I know that means I am, at least at the moment, responsible for the rantings of silly vegan PETA-donating douchebag college students. I'm willing to put up with them if it means you have to put up with this clown.

Fortunately, if the area scuttlebutt is true and his car is built with mostly stolen parts, he'll eventually be a felon and I won't have to put up with this clown!

I just want to say I am not up on the topic and haven't read everything in this thread.

I know that the constitution says something about not infringing on the right to bear arms. Having some sort of qualification like the military or marksman training to me seems like an infringement. Throwing in a pamphlet about safety and not pointing the gun at someone unless you intend to use it wouldn't be out of order at all. But this is about hunting and hunting could be considered a sport or leisure activity. Most sports I know of shouldn't be banned.

Didn't there used to be gun clubs and hunting clubs in high school? The way I understand what is happening throughout the country is that even a squirt gun is banned from school and there is zero tolerance policies being implemented in some form or fashion.

I could see banning hunting on public property to keep animals from becoming extinct. But to ban it on your own private property and if you hunt the animals that you raise or something similar I think it would go to far.

A hunting club? That would have been awesome! Although, yes there is a zero tolerance now...hell they dont even allow water balloons.

Deer, black and brown bears, elk, moose, big horn sheep, mountain lions, etc. , Im pretty sure that they're are not going to be extinct anytime soon.

As for private property, people cant hunt on them anyways unless they have permission from the owner of that land. Also hunting animals that you raised is not hunting...those "hunting farms" or whatever they're called are a joke.

Don't get too excited. I think maybe we should outlaw hunting of whales.

Shouldn't we have a say about the animals living in the ocean? I am not all out Greenpeace or anything but something tells me the Japanese or the Chinese are just getting all that blubber for themselves.

Hunting whales here in the US isn't very big if im not mistaken. (<1%?)

And I can safely guess that we can't go up to China or Japan and tell them that they can't hunt whales anymore. I'm pretty sure that we dont have THAT much authority.

We are in the UN aren't we? Isn't it in New York City or something?

Should we outlaw hunting? Yes. For whales.

Wasn't there a Japanese whaling ship and educational ship that got toppled out of the water by our submarines?

Koshi Maru or something was the name of one of those ships I think.

I pretty sure it's in NYC.

Outlaw whale hunting? Well i would say there should be "regulations" as to how much whale you can actually hunt (or when).

You also have to keep in mind that for the chinese and japanese, seafood is a large part of their diet...If we just went up to them and said "no more whale hunting for you", that would turn into a pretty ugly situation.

Also i havent heard anything about that Koshi Maru deal there...sounds interesting , might have to look it up.
