I can't decide whether to get this S13:
http://atlanta.craigslist.org/atl/cto/1771141142.html

or this S14:
http://atlanta.craigslist.org/atl/cto/1772398054.html

Both are $3,200, I have $2,800 now in hand and another $1,000 after I sell my coupe, the only problem is... I can't sell the coupe until this weekend.

The guy with the S14 can sell his this weekend but if I went with the S13 I'd have to wait another week because the guy is going on vacation..

Opinions anyone?

Why ask a question that is all opinion? Its up to you. The cars are the same with little differances. Pick what you like more and get it.

What he said ^^ Only s14 SE's have 5 lug.

The s13 has a rebuilt engine with around 35000 and a new clutch also take that into consideration.

I didn't say S13 was the best or anything. Just said it weighs less. The looks are completely opinionated. I only offered facts. ;)

I have a s14 and I love it, BUT If could do it again I would go s13 because there seems to be more aftermarket support for the 13 chassis (Just my opinion) and there OBD1, just my 2 cents. But this is definitely up to you and what you like. Btw which part of GA are you from?

This is a pretty tough situation if I was the buyer, I'd step back and take a look at them both in person, which ever car is in better condition is the one I would buy. It also depends on what you'll be using the car for a s13 is a car I would beat on, a s14 I would probably use as a daily driver, with some bite to it of course. (Maybe auto cross, too.)

That Zenki's engine bay is dirty as frick though, looks like he didn't maintain it very well. Also, doesn't look like it comes with a radio, I'm always looking at the small things...

The s13 looks pretty clean, I don't like how the guy mentioned a new engine, I don't like knowing the person has modified the car him/herself. You never know how stupid people can be when they're working on cars.

But in the end it's up to what you want to use the car for, I say get which ever car is in better condition, and be patient when buying the car.

Also, you could probably get the car for $2800 if you flash the cash, especially if they say the price is negotiable. I got my car down from $5,000 - $3,100. ('98 s14)

Good luck buying A car.

i dont get it... i understand if someone wants an opinion on a set of wheels, aftermarket part selection... but this is stupid... go to each car, test drive them both, and buy the one you like more. thats what i did, and i went s13... to each his own. END

i dont really like it when people say "rebuilt engine" or "new engine" in their ads.
sometimes it's legit,
but most of the time nothing really happens and they're just trying to spice up the deal.
unless i see build pics or receipts i don't believe em lol

but,
IMO.
i'd go with the s14.
for no reason either :/
maybe because it's newer-looking?
i really have no clue haha

Some people like him and me like to see what others would do in a situation. Yes, it all comes down to the persons own opinion, but asking what others would do is reassuring.

What if this guy didn't ask for someone's opinion, and he ends up buying the vehicle that he likes but ends up being a pile of junk that he can't afford to repair. And if he had asked for someones opinion, they may have been able to point out the major problems in the car. Not all of us are die hard mechanics.

Just sayin'...

Oh, and after coming back to look at them again, I'd say if the Zenki's in good shape, get it.

Thanks everybody for the input, I'm getting the S14 tomorrow $2,900. I really need a daily driver so I can start my build, so newer is better.

Either way, I doubt I will do anything stance wise, atleast for now, thanks though. haha

Haha I hear ya, I'm from Douglas County about 30mins from ATL. Instead of buying those two 240sx, just buy that pig shell and dump a sr or ka-t :naughty:
