It is very legit, and on my to-do list

If you purchase direct it includes the new boots:

brand new, custom designed/engineered product: http://www.zspeedperformance.com/90-96- ... categoryId. I had the chance to get one myself when Job (z speed guy) was at Ramey's house... I turned it down because of lack of cash at the time (college student) and have been regretting it ever since.

How about a replica of the oem bracket but instead of rubber, the whole thing is metal.

Yeah, that could work too, but Joe's design is only 1234576519643 times better.

It would destroy the shift linkage in short order, the shifter assembly needs to float with the movement of the transmission, hence the rubber portion of the oem mount.

The ZSpeed solid mount resolves this issue as it is mounted directly to the transmission.

I have a 90 z32 TT with 108,000 miles and my shifts dont fell as smooth as they should be. Would this bracket make a differnece.

It could just be an issue of worn shifter bushings if they have never been replaced. At that age/mileage you are likely due if they are original. Is there a lot of side to side play in the shifter when it is in gear?

If its side to side then its probably your shifter bushings, I suggest you get the bronze bushings for that.If its moving up and down, hitting your drive shaft, u need a new bracket
