What's the proper name for this? (SHIFTER SUPPORT BRACKET) It seems I have to replace the metal plate assembly as a whole because that rubber piece that's broken is riveted...

The bracket Biggs linked to is an OEM replacement. Rubber and metal. It'll work just fine, for another 20 years.a.blanco0905 wrote:Thanks a million man... the IPP ones seems to replace the rubber with metal which is another no brainer over OEM crap

Yes, annoying!!! ...and that's exactly what I do, hold it up as a drive, lol... I let go of it by mistakes some times and you think the car is going to fall apart, lol.Z-owned wrote: it will rub the driveshaft unless you hold it up the entire time you drive.

Dude, that picture's perfect man... thanks a million, I'm not even going to try to do it from the inside, lol... and ya, I got the bronze ones already, when I was getting ready to put them on I fount out about the bracket...Oh Em Zee wrote:you will definitely notice a difference in the sound of the car after you finish replacing all the rubber..
i probably paid around $40 for all the rubber parts, and another $30 for a custom shifter boot to match the interior. worth it!
oh, and $11.25 for the shifter bushings from nissan dealers... go with bronze. my shifter is not as tight as it was a year ago.. and it's not worth it sacrificing on the $$ for a part that will wear out that quickly in THAT sort of location...
