Andy broke the 3rd gear shifter fork in the trans.l0nestar wrote:
I believe Andy (Booztd3) started having issues with them around 600 whp. If memory serves, he damaged a 2-3 synchronizer. Everything is internally identical to a Z32 NA trans. He did a nice writeup on this too.
They should change the name to "gizzmo driveline killer"rb25drag wrote:Well my transmission feels solid for now. But doesn't mean it will survive the fight. Especially with my luck!!
But I have yet to try out the Gizzmo between shifts. Its suppose to keep the boost built up. But so far I haven't had any luck getting out of first gear.
LOL thats true. But sad part is I broke a set of axles and 1 U-joint b/f I bought the Gizzmo!!240z4u wrote:

Good luck man.
that's you answer right there. burn out + violent launch = breaking axlesrb25drag wrote:My brother calls me the burnout King b/c thats all I ever get to do at the track LOL
You need to whole rear end, and shafts. Swap rear covers, re-drill the diff flange to the DS and your good to go.rb25drag wrote:Are the q45 axles the same bolt pattern and splines?
hmm oh yeah..not sure if the Hubs are going to work, I've got r33 hubs so I don't need to worry about splines...rb25drag wrote:But then thats going to change my whole setup as for Brakes, Wheels ETC.
you will need to use the q45's hubs, just like you're doing a z32 or s14 5-lug conversion on the rear. hey if you want to play hard and breakless, convert to the q45 rear-end because the axles are bigger and stronger. but then if your driveshaft is the part taht breaks, upgrade it to a stronger one.rb25drag wrote:But then thats going to change my whole setup as for Brakes, Wheels ETC.
