I'm going to be picking up this cap at a local store after work today and will report back if the light goes off after a couple of drive cycles. Seems to have good reviews on Advance Auto Parts and on Amazon.

Just to follow up with my issue, the light never cleared after buying a new fuel cap and driving on my mini 300 mile road trip. I bought a cheap OBD scanner on eBay (http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_trksid= ... &_from=R40) which confirmed the same error as AutoZone. I cleared the light about 5 days ago and it has not returned as of yet.

Thanks for coming back and following up! That really helps others when they search for solutions to problems.

Let us know if the code comes back!

Yeah, the loose fuel cap issue seems to clear pretty fast. I, for the first time in 4 years, didn't click the cap while I was not paying attention. Sure enough, shortly after the SES light was on. The next day I tightened it a few clicks and within about 15 miles in one drive the light cleared. Just an FYI when trying to diagnose it vs. something else.
