You need to call up Nissan Customer Service and talk to your regional rep-- I had an old POS Saturn and after fighting with the local stealership about a bulletin I called customer service and reported them. The dealership HAS to perform the bulletin repair if you are having the issues noted in the bulletin. Keep calling until something is done. I received the fix plus a $100 gift card for use at any saturn dealer because of the trouble. I'm sure Nissan is even more customer oriented than Saturn-- at least from what I've seen so far (this being my first Nissan ever).Heels1010 wrote:i had them tell me the same thing about the brakes that they would only not charge me if the brakes were defective. That is the dealership legend nissan in syosset. I am really fed up with the dealership!!

I had the same issue with my '09 at somewhere around 20k. At first, I was told there was no issue. Turned out that the front rotors were warped. My dealer took care of it for me, YMMV.5497 wrote:I know that you guys are talking about 2008 and perhaps older having this brake problem. Any chance this is a problem with 2009 3.5 se coupe? Here's my issue...
As mentioned, I have a 2009 3.5se coupe. I'm located in Vancouver bc, Canada. In the past few months, I've noticed that my brakes has an odd sound and feel. This happens when slowing down from slow speeds to a stop. I would say from 40-50kmh down to stop. This is not hard braking at all. Just stopping while approaching a traffic light. Anyways, the front brakes sounds and feels like a rumbling noise with very mild to little vibration. The rumbling noise is almost like rubbing wet hands on a window but the tone is much slower. Is not a squeeking sound. It's a rumble. That's the best I can describe. This happens in rain and in completely dry warm weather. Not all the time either.
Anyone out there having this issue and located in Canada? I think the tsb's I've seen from a link in this thread refer to US models and don't apply to Canada, or does it? I'd like to get some info and hear from you guys before I go to the dealer to get it checked out. I want to arm myself with some knowledge and hope they won't jerk me around.
Btw, my car has 25,000kms on it. At my last oil change (non Nissan service center), they rotated my tires and told me I had roughly 50% on the front pads.
Thanks for any info you guys an provide.
Good to know. I just want to be sure, when you had this problem, the noise is from slowing and stopping from low speeds, right? Not hard braking at high speeds.jswfl09 wrote:I had the same issue with my '09 at somewhere around 20k. At first, I was told there was no issue. Turned out that the front rotors were warped.
