Hey guys I have a 2006 Nissan Sentra S and I'm trying to change the color of my gauges but i've noticed their is a thin gold film that causes any light i put in to change color because it changes the default white lights to the default gold-ish color. Does anyone know how to get rid of this ? Thanks alot

you're better off just using red bulbs to turn them into red... bmw like

I wouldn't mess with the film, I mean think about what colo you going to make it 1st... green? blue? neon white or whatever? any other color really is just an distraction

First of all, how can you tell someone that changing the color of their gauge light is going to be a distraction? Why don't you find out a little information first, maybe if the car is strictly for show or not? Maybe they don't even drive it on the road, eh?

Second, if they say there is a film that changes whatever color to the goldish looking color, and are asking about how to remove it, don't you think that tips on how to remove it would be more useful than telling them something they already know? I'm sure if they are trying to change the color, they know they need a different color bulb.

Or a different color film.

You ought to be able to gently heat the film and get it to pull up fairly easily. Try a hairdryer and heat it SLOWLY so it doesn't melt.

Hey Nisstar06, if you do this can you post the results and if you ran into any problems. I want to also try it but I've heard that there might be an issue with the speedo needle (think I read it on one of the Altima forums) but I'm not sure if there is any co-relation with the B16 guages.

thanks
