So I might bite the bullet and buy the damn sensebrand bumper from japan even though shipping is so much, a weeks over time pay should cover everything. My last option to reduce the shipping is to check my military people if they have a connection with a base in Japan.

However,

My first issue is they have me worried because I emailed them to ask a few questions and one thing they said is they specifically make it for the Fuga and make no guarantees to fit the Infiniti. I know the Fuga is the same as the Infiniti, but by them feeling the need to make that disclaimer has me a little worried. I researched the specs between the Fuga and Infiniti (listed below) and wondered if anyone can confirm this with a more reliable source than Wikipedia, like actual dimensions from Nissan/Infiniti, or better yet actual specs of the bumper itself.

My second issue is, from what wiki says, there is a slight difference in the dimensions. How well can a body shop hide this? I'm VERY anal and 2mm will bug the hell out of me. I had work done on my bumper before and it was off by 2-3mm on each side when they put it back together and every time I passed by it my eyes would go straight to it and it would irritate me.

Infiniti m35x 2008-2010 y50: wheelbase: 2,901mm, length: 4,930mm, width: 1,798mm, height: 1,524mm
Fuga 2004-2009 y50: wheelbase: 2,900mm, length: 4900mm, width: 1,805mm, height: 1,510mm,

So if anyone has extensive knowledge of body shop work, what are your thoughts...not just opinions...on the size differences stated here. Can this be made to look seamless, will it take a lot of work and money?

Lastly, if I do this, I might also pick up one of their muffler tips, they have some really cool ones. If any of you want one let me know (look up sensebrand), and send me the money and I'll place the order for you. This is NOT a group buy, and I'm not going to be waiting on people to make up their minds or checking up on people, it's just a matter of if your shipping can be buried in what I'm doing ill hook you up when/if I place my order...would be great if you could throw $10 or so in for shipping, but not required. This would also depend on weight of total shipping, if a bunch of you jump in and the weight goes up significantly to change my shipping cost the free ride will be a no go and you'll have to chip in on shipping.

Still can't get over that first pic. That booty is so nice.

I LOVE the front end of my M56. I HATE the rear-end, although I do hate it a little less now that I've owned the car for almost 2 months. Perfect M would be Y51 interior + Y51 front end + Y50 rear end. OMGGGGGGG.

OK, allow me to start by stating the following for the record:

That FUGA-butt is LIQUID SEX !!

Ahem, however three things must be considered or at least confirmed NOT to cause trouble with installation.
1) The Fuga width is different (by 7mm) so would that mean the sensebrand will have to be modified?
2) The sensebrand bumper and ground effect is much lower than your M, so will that make a mis-match when viewed from the side with the M's higher body sides and front bumper?
3) The exhaust also appears to exit much lower than the M standard height, which may require some customized exhaust.

I know you don't want opinions but I'm going to give one anyway lol...

The biggest issue I foresee is the difference in the tails between the 06/07's and the 08+...if you can find a shop that blend the top half of an 08+ to the bottom half of the Sensebrand, then you *should* be in business.

don't think it will work with 08s because different tail lights just like 08s don't go on 06s

I think it would be cheaper or a better fit to have someone combine a rear bumper from a mercedes to your existing bumper. As for fitment my kenstyle kit fits like oem on my 06. I do know that the Ings body kit was shorter and needed modification to fit on rookie55's M35. ings-1-infiniti-m35-45-y50-body-kit-t556833.html

That's not an opinion, that is a fact it seems. It actually crossed my mind as soon as I made the post so I went on a hunt and came across this.
2008-m45-sport-rear-bumper-on-2006-t534 ... r%20bumper
So I have to go do some research across the net now.im just curious if I do decide to go through with this knowing this tid bit now, how much it will be to get this type of body work done. I'm starting to think everything is going to cost more than I think its worth.
