Leaving for Las Vegas and the SEMA Show on Tuesday to see how things are going for the Versa aftermarket.Plans are....stopping by the Companies that have supported us in the past and thank them for there support.......visiting the Companies that are on the fence with support for the Versa and with a little luck getting them to “go for it” and get off the fence.......and last but not least try to get Companies to at least give it some thought of supporting the Versa now or in the near future. With the Cube coming down the pipe using the “B” platform and the new lower price point of the Versa there will be more reasons for these guys to jump aboard. So, with notes in hand that I’ve taken from watching the boards and seeing the "wish the Versa had” comments....let's see what we can do. Wish us luck!

Dont be surprised when you get there and 30% of the venders that were there last year are not going to be there this time?

Bob, have you talked to VF Engineering in Anaheim? They'd be the outfit to talk to about developing a supercharger kit. Their software guy is a guru. Pretty well known among the Porsche/VW/Audi communities.

if that guy in anaheim is willing to do a supercharger kit, that would be great... but it would have to show decent gains and be affordable too...who is going on the 9th to solo2?

Just wanted to drop in and say hi ... I'll be at SEMA this week, video gear in tow.

Hoping to catch all the Versas at the show on tape. I'll be uploading as time permits ...

Drive on!

Affordability is relative. Go to VF Engineering's site, vfengineering.com of course. The VW kits start around $3500. Stage 1, low boost, power gain differs from engine to engine. But, I think you can safely expect 70 to 100 hp gain at 7 psi or so. Software tuning is very important with forced induction. The guy VF uses is one of the best out there.

They put a set of the HP's in it. I can get the exact part numbers for you later.

The CF Hatch would have been cool but the project was a bit of a thrash.

I have to keep the vinyl on for a week or two after the show for media purposes but then I can strip it all off. It does draw lots of attention though and I'll probably get pulled over. There isn't really anything they can ticket me for everything but the seats are legal. The Sparco seats are loaner's and go back immediately after the show.

So far I'm really digging the ride on the springs and shocks. The control is better and it seems to really stick on the road.

she has the eibach springs installed... i talked to BOB, he sends his regaurds... he seen your car too... bad news guys, no short shifters anytime soon... they said if he wanted them made he would have to buy 500 units... and why buy so many of something that will just end sitting at his house... there is a bit of good news, DC is going to release their cat-back exhaust and header sometime around march next year, also we have a white gauge face coming too! oh yeah and tokico has their oem replacement shocks out, its the adjustables that we are waiting on...

Unless you were doing something illegal to start with (speeding, driving like an idiot) there isn't much the cops can do legally. If it happens, just politely tell the cop the car was done like that for work/SEMA and publicity for the shop, not for your personal gain. If you make it out to be something you had to do to put food on the table and pay the bills, the cop would have to be a total moron and an ******* to follow through and give you a ticket anyway. And if he does turn out to be both of those things, show up in court and tell the same story to the judge.

I saw it. What about it? Unless they are CARB exempt and work miracles to give you decent power gain and not cost a lot, they don't mean diddily squat. Not going to gain much with headers on a small four banger. The rules/myths that apply to muscle cars and big displacement engines don't always apply to small engines. Now if it was a quality cast turbo manifold, and a plug and play AEM engine management system... then you'd have something to get really excited about.
