Hey, your thread, so how about POSTING SOME PICS OF YOUR GT!!!

If you do, I'll post some pics of the Stangs I've owned!!
Now we are talking. We love pictures. Doesn't matter if it is Nissan or Furd.

well i'm glad some are amused as am I!

I've got a bunch of purdy mountain pictures and engine shots. And the Furd engine isn't hidden by plastic covers and silly mountain shaped badges For those of you who don't live in high places 300hp infinti or furd means very little when you're up at 14,000 feet like some of my pictures i'll post up there you might as well have a steam engine!

I'll get some up this weekend.

Also SVT, I ran into another cobra guy last night at my football game...He had an orange Cobra R...he's an old school guy just like you, maybe you know him!...from those Cobras back in the early days...you know...the early 90's! ('93/'94 I think)

I don't know how that's possible! But you're not the first post to say that!

Although you have to admit it's easier to drive a 328hp auto than it is a 300hp manual...so maybe people don't know how to drive a "FURD" Mustang. I only know that every one I've seen at the track is more than half a second away from me (although I am lightly modded and know how to drive a dang stick....I mean seriously mustang people...how hard is it to drive a stick!?!? they've been around since what...the 1910's??!! you're letting all these rice-eaters get the better of you!!!)

I have a solution...There's gotta be someone on this site, or that has seen this thread that lives in the Denver area that I can go up against so we can put this to bed once and for all!! anyone? anyone? Bueller?

SVT, you sound like a guy who appreciates cars...period. Infiniti, Turd (i mean Furd...i mean Ford) (Freudian slip there I think).

I love my Mustang...i think that's obvious...but I also REALLY love the G37.

SPeaking of paper racing I found something interesting on Dragtimes.com.Tons of infinitis and mustangs and everythnig else to compare to...but I'll figure that out later...'08 6MT 262.00 max HP, 230 ft. lbs max torque....that's surprising even for me!! That's a 20% drivetrain loss (from 328hp) on a RWD car! I would hate to see what the AWD drivetrain loss is!

This same guy also posted a 13.823 1/4...after doing some homework the KCIR raceway (which shows on his timeslip) is at 800' of altitude!!So that time is right in line with what the magazines say people should run.

My first car was a mustang...Meadowlark Yellow 1969 Mach 1 with 351W, 3MT, shaker. She got me thru HS and college. So, yeah, I got a big soft spot for mustangs. Also a huge fan of Furd - have owned many. Also a huge Nissan fan!!!! have owned many.Yes, my cobra was faster, but my G coupe is just a whole different driving experience. It also fits me much better (physically).

Anyway, continue on with the paper racing, I'm not much into it like you youngsters are!!

Ok so for a bunch of sophisticated Infiniti people there's GOT to be an easier way to make this work...I'm guessing you click the "add image button" and then past a link inbetween there somewhere...lets see if this works!

So here's a good little mountain view....

...and a rear view

...and a front view

and a front view with engine....now for those of you who are unsure, that shiny little horsey looking thing in the front...that's 45 years of pure american muscle right there!

here's another closer engine view...see those stainless hood props? truly one of my best mods! I can't believe any car these days comes with only a metal stick to hold up the hood...how cheap is that!

and a pic for you engine wrench-turners out there, those are ceramic headers and solid motormounts

...so that should get us started right...I'm going to hit post...hopefully it works.

oops my mistake...i guess the 09's have 328fwhp...that makes more sense..15% is what you'd expect. My own baseline pull was 261rwhp. So for a 300fwhp car that's a 13% loss. So i guess we're all in the ballpark.
