A tech blog I read the other day reported on some contact lenses that some company is working on that would do exactly this.

I personally think they should stick to glasses, cause people are extremely stupid and would keep this ish on while driving. Can you imagine people trying to handle all that at 60mph> Faster? Ugh...

This is amazing for one simple reason. I've been toying with this idea in my head for at least 5 years. I watch an episode of "Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide"(old nickelodeon show) in which one of the main characters (cookie) had glasses that did things similar to this. I would definitely hop on a pair of these. None for Jay.

Yikes.

I'm sure since its gps enabled the glasses would have some sort of auto off function once it sees you going past 10mph

^ what if you're on a train or bus, or a plane with wifi?

what if you screw up and all of a sudden a pop-up blocks your vision? i'd rather see and know that someone is blatantly not paying attention by staring at their phone or tablet instead of assuming that guy looking straight ahead is watching where he's going when he could really be checking beyonce's twitter feed.

neat idea, but humans are still too stupid for this kind of thing to work without ridiculous consequences.
