Guys I'm still looking for a seat for my S13. I've been searching for a couple weeks and I'm still stumped as to what I should go with. I know I need a good bottom mount seat. What do you guys recommend for a car that's occasionaly used for more than cruising (I don't care if it doesn't recline)? I need some guidance to make my decision.

THanks...I meant side mount, don't know why I put bottom. What's a good mounting rail for the S13?

i have the sparco EVO seat w/ a bride FG style seat rails...but this is in a s14 tho. i have no complaints w/ this combo, but i did have to modify the seat rail nearest to the transmission so that the support for your shoulders dont hit the door (as much...). i heard that sparco rails sit you higher than stock and there construction of it isn't very good.

i heard that bride s13/s14 driver side seat rails are on back order, but one of the sponsor is selling a Nagasa seat rail that is similar to the FG style rails. just make sure its compatible to the seat your gonna get...

Anyone have a cheap reccomendation that doesn't lose you any head or leg room? I was thinking about the spec miata seat (for my 240, its just supposed to mount well in cars that don't have good headroom). Don't remember who makes it though. Any thoughts?

I used to have a sparco sprint, and a sparco speed. If you are under 6 ft, its pretty good fit, but some guys just aren't comfy in the bottom mount seats. I moved up to a pro2000, which is both bottom and side mount, im using bottom mount right now and with all the padding removed, its holds me super crazy style, and its really low seating position. For the price, you really cant beat the sprint, its a good seat and I like them, most of my friends use those seats, all bottom mount, all run events with helmets, all fit just fine. One guy has to run without the sliding bracket though to get really low. Try a bottom mount in someone else's car, if you don't fit, then you have to shell out the money to get a side mount seat, which usually start around 500 and up from what i've seen.

I was looking at the corbeau a4, does anyone know if it is a good seat, and if the mounting brackets make you sit low or not? Thanks for the help.

Go to a store. sit in some seats. find one that fits you, that you are comftorble in and buy it. if you are really tall make sure its a sidemount. dont choose a seat based on what other people are using, use one that is right for you.

K240: Corbeau seats are for fat Americans. Really, they are huge seats! I have a very average build, 6' and about 180lbs. Those seats are way too big.

Liquidus: I don't think there is a single spec miata seat, the NASA rules only say that the factory seat needs to be modified to meet NASA safety standars or be replaced with a racing seat. I have seen Sparco, Momo, and Kirkley as popluar seats in dedicated track cars. In my car I have a Sparco Ultra. It is absolute GARBAGE I hate it. Very unfomfortable, sits too high, not enough support. My brother has a Buddy Club and it is very nice. Great leg support and snug. Well padded.

I like my sparco Pro2000 with my bride FG seat rail. Also Buddyclub isn't that bad either.

As long as the seat is under 400mm wide, this will fit. These won't fit wide seats or bottom mount seats.

If they don't come within the next couple days I'm going to cancel the order and just order those Nagisa rails. I can't wait this long .

We just finished installing these rails with Signal Auto buckets on the DF car. I can say that these are the best rails I've seen in a long time. I never liked the way the Bride rails tilted back and these also seem to slide a lot more smoothly than my old bride rails. I've got some more coming in if anyone wants a set.
