Ok so i know i read a topic on the difference between rev up and non rev up, however,

If you had the chance to buy a G35 one with rev up (05+) or non rev up (03-04) both with same mileage, and everything you wanted .... what would you get.

I do plan on modding the car.... first with NA, then maybe eventually turbo set up.... (i started a thread about that too) Anyway hopefully i can get some helpful answers without getting bashed too harshly.

I'd pick rev up. The reason is simple. It is newer and less problem. Longer warranty etc.I think rule #1 buying the used car is buy the newest possible.

its 298 horse power, froget the torque....

as apposed to 280ish.... correct?

Does it have any effect on gas consumption? and or life of the engine?

I know the rev up has vslve timing at more spots (id have to do a search to list them)

My mian question here is the gas.

I don't think MPG were affected by the addition of the REVUP.

Can anyone confirm that mpg was not effected?

You can't let gas consumption be an issue when you buy a G bro!

People don'y buy it for the "great gas mileage"

I hope that is not a factor in your decision??

Go Rev-up

I agree, who buys a G, Z, or 240 for the MPG? If mpg is a factor when searching for a new car then get an Altima coupe or something.

I;m planning on going rev up, i'm just still confused over rev up vs. non revup,

i did the search and only thing i can tell is it has more variable timing at the exhaust or something.

Edit: Plus 20 extra horses.... is it worth the money though between an 04 and an 05?

I know rule #1 buy newest possible

but finding one in Calgary is hard....

i also try'd importing, but even on an 05 they'd only honour warrenty for 60 days.

I have a dealer looking st some for me though so hopefully it will work out.

with the Rev-Up , you do have extra mods thatyou cant get on a non revupto me , yes it is worth the amount because also some 03-04 have issues that have been resolved in 05-06 same vice versa
