def looks good. I like the tint. I sometimes think I should have gone with silver with my ride, but I like the Polished Pewter. No one ever has pewter that is modified.

I dunno about the AEM intake though. No offense, but it's not too visually appealing. I'll post a pic some time of my Injen CAI. I got it in glossy black and it looks so nice under the hood.

What tint percent is that? 15%? 20%?

While not as stylish as the Injen the AEM is positioned for cleaner airflow. Doubt there is much difference on the dyno between them and the factory system tho.

yeah it isnt the prettiest intake...but it sounds soooooooooooooo sexy.ha. itll look better once i clean up that engine bay?

Never cleaned one up before though.......

tips anyone????

as far as tint percent i went with 20% front and 5% rears although a big gap between them they blend in really good IMHO.

Yeah although modded Pewter colored altimas are rare....ive seen one thats SO SICK...i wish i had a pic. EH, ill look for it and post it.

headers?...eh idk if i can live with that SES code on my dash. I guess it always throws one when headers are installed. (low91240sx - correct me if im wrong??) Read it at another forum.

The restriction from the stock exhaust is killing me right now too...still debating if im gonnna upgrade....

thanks for the replies so far...

maybe you are thinking of the modded Pewter one on Stillen's website? You can see it under the Stillen Lip Spoiler for a 2005. It is def hot. That car has the rims I wanted to order, but the site got deleted from my "Favorites" and I couldn't remember the manufacturer of the rims.

Check ur e-mail too

PS - As for the engine cleaning, I have never had it done or read anything about it - I kinda just clean that shyt myself lol - like, paper towels, micro fiber cloths and different cleaning agents.

And now you need to change the pic in your signature so that it shows your tint!

I was trying to scrape up some old pics of a thread he made their but couldnt find it. ehh whatever. definitely one of the sickest pewter alti's ive seen yet.

Yeah, this Altima influenced me to get overlays on my headlights. After I put them on, it was so god damn dark the night after that I pulled over on a highway and tore that shyt off. It defeated the purpose of having my HIDs. Now looking at his pics, I think I would black out the stock grill. I was also thinking of getting a black S2 Sport Grill. I dunno. I also still have my fiberglass eyelids to get painted and adhered.

but yeah, this Pewter is a hottie! I'd do her

Ha. U should get the s2 grille! The billet grille is too blingish for my taste. No offense. Get them eyelids on!

DIESEL:

I am going to buy the ActiveTuning S5 Grill (I cant post a pic, but check out http://www.ActiveTuning.com and view the S5 Grill). I don't know what color I should have it painted. I may be purchasing a carbon fiber hood for my car. So, i was thinking of getting it in black. Otherwise, I 'll get the pewter to match my car.

Also, Im going to be ordering a rear spoiler, the OEM spoiler on the SE-R actually. http://www.wooddashexperts.com...age=1

If I get the grill in black, I'll do the spoiler in black. Think that'd be ugly, or add a dark affect and break up the solid color a bit? Whatever I get one painted, the other will be the same. I saw a silver Z with a black spoiler and kinda liked that it wasn't also silver.

Let me know what you think. I'll probably place my order later this week / early next week.

Thanks~

If the spoiler wasn't OEM, you could probably get away with it being black. But since it is, those that don't know will think you went to a junkyard and pulled it off a black car and slapped it on yours without painting it. Translated; cheap.

The grill area is a little more forgiving since it comes black stock and the mesh is black. I really like those Active Tuning grills though. PITA to clean bugs off of, but they look great.

Alright, I ordered the SE-R lip mounted spoiler w/ 3rd brake light - only $251.99 primed, painted and shipped - hot stuff.Anyone know about mounting them? I do all my work myself, but I'm not the best with electrical. I'm sure it's 3M mounted, but I'm assuming drilling is necessary to hook up the third brake light? Finally i'll have an LED 3rd brake light as bright as my LED tail lights. The LED bulb in the high mount SUCKS.

Now, should I do the S5 (not S2 sorry) grill in black? I may paint the middle of the hood and bring it down to the ends of the grill, or buy a carbon fiber hood. Keeping the hood the same though, should I do black or Pewter?

Let me know if ya'll are familiar with the electrical aspects of mounting it. I also have those damn Oznium strips. My replacement for the broken one arrived today (they didn't ask for the defective one to be mailed back, isn't that trusting of them? lol) I gotta get them bytches hooked up and my eyelids painted for mounting - the endlessness of modding a car!

thats a pretty fair price for the se-r spoiler. Im pretty sure you splice the third led brake light from the spoiler onto one of your tailights. The instructions that come with the spoiler are pretty good too. (i heard).

If you go carbon fiber definitely go with black. I would personally stay pewter. give me a visual of how you would paint the ends to the ends of the hood. Im having trouble visualizing that.

I figured as much with the wiring, but you think I'll most likely have to drill, right? Ugh - I'll probably f the whole thing up lol

I'll look around for some pics and send them your way. I did it to my SRT Jeep, ran a thick black stripe down the back hatch, hood, and down the front. Im thinking of black starting at the windshield, running down the hood, and the sides ending at the ends of the grill - does that create a better visual for you?

Also, I'll find the carbon fiber hood again tomorrow sometime and post a pic. I think though that I'm just going to get the pewter, since I got the powdered coated black oval mesh insert - keep both color concepts.

ha. wow still no visual man. sorry...most likely there will be drilling although those 3m tapes are sturdy as hell.. just take your time is the best advice i can give. ha

SRT Jeep huh?...im sure the fuel economy is slightly deifferent with your alti. ha.

GET the pewter!

I'm with Diesel. Go with the pewter grill frame.

And you will need to drill a small hole in the hood for the spoiler tail light. Just make sure you put a rubber grommet in the hole to keep the wires from rubbing thru. Might end up being two holes within the same hole depending on the underside webbing supports of the trunk lid.

Everything I figured -

I guess I'll have to get my electrics man Chad to do it for me - I dunno about ME drilling my trunk lid lol - I might end up with a hole in myself and/or needing a new trunk lid all together

well the header on mine isn't the problem it's the CAI but it may be different for the 3.5 not sure I'd still test it out though lol man that car is good looking there's two here locally but one an old lady drives she's in her 40s its the darker color and the other is a younger guy like late 20's early 30's he has a red one and I can't ever catch him I always see him going the other way or pulling out of a gas station but if i were you I'd slap some headers and exhaust on that baby hehe

low91240sx, your CEL is on bc of your CAI? Did you not ensure the oxygen sensor was fully tight before starting the car? That really should be the only reason why a CEL would go on from a CAI, right?

LOL on the lady that drives the (Smoke?) SE-R....

EOrdonez3229 has a point. the only reason it should throw a code is bc of that sensor.

and yeah, it miight be different for the 3.5...

ha...the headers are tempting...if i go headers i HAVE to go with the exhaust....(borla sounds sexy)

stop giving me ideas ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

It's due to it not being properly mounted whenever I hit a good enough bump it moves and separates just enough to where a little air gets in under the filter and the pipe it's connected to and throws the CEL cause I'll reset it and it'll be fine for a couple of days but as soon as I hit a hard enough bump it's back on...

Look good.

Eh, just pull in the garage and throw them b****es on!

I have the advantage of climate control garage, so I tell everyone to do it in their garage ::shrug::How much did the AVIC-D3 cost and what exactly is its function? I'm not familiar with this gadget.

I was going to buy a G37s Coupe, but I really don't feel like I'm done with my car just yet and I think I'll miss it. Am I crazy?

Oh, no 6 car garage like me? LOL I have a big family, so it's totally necessary.

And WHAT? "u dont see ur average grocery getter Altima raping cars lol"? Can you please translate that for me, because I left my decoder ring back in the 3rd grade lol

I test drove the G37 Sport - sweeeeet. But, I don't want to buy another vehicle, especially since I still owe on this car. The only way I'd get the G37 is if I got rid of my SRT8 Jeep, and I kind of need it for family outings (and to show up those bastard a** little WRX Sti mother f'ers)

Altima = only good for buying and loading groceries in , for grandma's and grandpa's type of car.

but when u start to mod this thing...not so average anymore. just becomes a Rape artist at times (meaning u wouldnt expect it to be so fast for a full size sedan). Plus, you get to the grocery store faster..lol

hopefully i explained myself better

Nice SRT8 not a big fan of Dodge tho. Not a fan of the Chrome either. definitely a beasttt...thats what matters
