Hey, just had a thought: has anyone ever thought about, or tried, to install the centre stack instrument panel in a non SE-R?I would love that gauge cluster in my '06.Thanks.

Like 9 months ago there was a thread on this. You may still be able to find it.

Well, I tried searching for 20 minutes, and couldn't find anything.I have never had much luck with the search function on NICO by the way. There must be a better way.If you know how the thread is titled, or can help in any way to find more info on this gauge cluster thing, I'd appreciate it.Thanks.

it has been done. only thing is i dont think it works with the same exact gauges....u have to change them out to other ones. there is some sort of sensor that the SE doesnt have. NISSANCLUB.com search it there.

Well, was at the dealership today, getting an oil change, and spoke with a (trusted) service advisor about this upgrade. In a word, can't be done as a plug and play. The non SE-R Altima is not harnessed for the gauge cluster, nor is the ECM programmed for it. It would be a major undertaking.Oh well, I had a dream. No more.

I think I'm gonna put SE-R rims on my car (if I keep it).

I finally got a new job that pays double what I was making, so, it's likely that I'll be buying a new car all together within the next 6 months (so why bother with new rims?).

BUT - more than likely, it wont be a Nissan or Infiniti, unless I really get hooked to the G37x Coupe (but i hate that it isn't available with the Sport Package, even though it makes perfect sense).
