Yeah we really have no idea how much power it'll actually put out. But my goal is at least 230whp. Anymore and that's awesome haha.

I respect you greatly for taking the initiative on the turbo. I for one don't have the balls to try this out. If I were to boost my Alti I would dump about 6 or 7k into it and probably from Speed Force just so I know that my car is being taken care of. I don't know much about engines, and don't know many people who are knowledgeable on these Nissan engines.

So best of luck to you I will be watching cloesly

What mods do you already have? Could you try and get your car dyno'ed before and after you put the kit on so we can see what the QR is capable of?
No other mods. It will be complete stock + turbo stuff. The BullyDog power pup is being sold. Thats really the only mod I have besides my home made intake haha. This will be a good baseline. We'll see what we can do with the dyno. There is a few dyno sheets out there with stock runs (check the air intake sites).

This might be done sooner than expected. I am going to try to order everything tonight so when it gets here it'll be ready to go. I'm shooting for my long weekend: Sept 5-7th to get this installed and do a bit of street tuning/dyno tuning.

I'll update as available. Also does anyone know of a good Turbo badge or a red/silver T to put beside the 2.5S on the rear? That'd be cool... hahahah

if this turbo setup is succesful do you think that a cvt 2.5 would see the same results and handle the extra power?

I can't comment on the CVT as I have no experience with it, but if it's the same as the V6 it should handle it fine. Although tuning is a lot harder.

good luck dude!A cvt will work, with transmission coolers and some slight modifications, these would be done by a PRO IMO... fitting a turbo on a mt is one thing... CVT is a whole new ballgame

according to mehdi, the 2.5s CVT and the 3.5se CVT have different transmissions... the 3.5se CVT can take a decent amount of power but he said the 2.5s CVT transmission cant handle much or something.... he had all the details. hopefully he'll chime in soon.

no way in hell a 2.5 CVT will work without some modifications if the boost gives more than 260ish + horsepower. down the line it's going to pop! I did my research in my HLSD swap and the 2.5's JATCO CVT was too weak for the 3.5L so thats why nissan used the bigger CVT model for the 3.5L

even the sentra SE-R spec-V at just 200ish hp had to let go of the 2.5's cvt and use the more cost effective 6mt transmission for it to handle "reliably" the added hp and torque. using the more powerfull 3.5 cvt wasn't cost effective for them.

on the other hand, the 6mt transmission is built strong and is the same for the 2.5L and the 3.5L.

unless there is a cvt swap to the more powerfull unit, I don't know how it could work.

on thing that could be done would be using the 6MT sentra's SE-R spec V's transmission (that, as an added bonus, can already be had with an HLSD in it!) instead of the cvt.

on top of being the first 2.5S turboed 4th gen in the world, scott would be the first one to do a 6MT swap and the first turboed 4th gen in the world with HLSD.

for your spark plugs pick a plug tht is one step colder. what exactly are you gonna wrap with the heat wrap? id really have to say not to use it on ur intercooler pipes because it will trap the heat in the pipes. and fore warn it can cause ur manifold to break down faster. id suggest getting the manifold ceramic coated instead.

Heat wrap will probably not be used, but I dunno. We'll see when it goes together. Yeah def getting colder plugs, can get them locally.

Everything is ordered except the flange for the turbo, I dunno if the kit comes with one or not. It's not pictured. I'm going to order one anyways, it's 15 bucks...

Yeah I want a retrofit but its way too expensive so those audi drl is what I'll probably end up doing.

As for where to get a "T" for turbo I would say if you debadged your car you can use the T from alTima or from a senTra

a lot of ppl like sleepers but i HATE sleepers! i remember there were a couple cars i tried to race and they just laughed and IF we were to race, i probably would have even won. i never saw the appeal of a sleeper... i know a guy with a supercharged mach1 motor with a bunch of bolt ons in his mustang and tells everyone its a V6, even though it rumbles the ground... i always thought it was stupid. why try and make your car look slow and then smoke the s*** out of a slow car. its like WOW! great job, you beat a slow car! lol idk, just my personal opinion. and i'm not trying to attack you in anyway, i'm just talking about in general (and mostly about my friend with the mustang being stupid).

hahah. i find it's worth it if you have exhaust/intake. Run the premium tune and advance 2 degrees. I loved it.

I agree with you about sleepers beating slow cars. I like the idea of sleepers when a jerk in a mustang or G thinks he has an easy win over you and then make him crap himself when you beat him.. Lol

I also just don't like the idea of being flashy like with the turbo badge.. But as long as it's tasteful and looks like it belongs go for it dude.

Can't wait to hear how it turns out

Yeah exactly haha Altima 2.5ST. Maybe the T in red with a chrome border or something. Something stock looking.

Here's the price list thus far *cries*....

Plus I would factor in about $400 USD in shipping so far as well:

So that brings the estimated total to:

$1985.72 USD (BlackBerry Flip not included... GF wanted a new phone... haha).

So thats not too bad at all...

Plus add other odds and ends like the down pipe, etc. So I think it'll stay in budget. And yes, the injector ad, it's 4 injectors with clips, not just 1 injector... haha

When this is ALLLL done with a do a complete parts list with prices and photos.

Also I'll update as the parts arrive. :D

(My Thoughts as I was reading)

I agree...take the T out of ALTIMA from someone and add that.

Yea, Each is a decent price...if you bought one a month over the winter you wouldn't even notice...and be ready to install by Mid Summer.

Wait...Blackberry? Like the phone? What is a blackberry on a car? Is that like a type of Sparkplug? He said he was getting something special for that...

OHHHH, GF cell... hahaha, that now makes sense.
