Speaking of Nobles, I know a guy with one and that car is pure sex. When I got into the car the interior smelled of brand new leather. The exterior of the car is just amazing, it looks so small. The brakes were massive and the wheels were breathtaking. The whole car was pure sex on wheels.

One of my dreams is to do a Caterham Super 7 kit car (or whatever company it is that makes them now). I recall that both Steven Tyler and Joe Perry own a couple. They love 'em.

Someone in the first page said that an exige is turbocharged. That is not the case.

An Exige isnt turbocharged.

Also, the S2 Elise with sport suspension and the S2 Exige are the SAME car...one is just a hardtop version.

Dealer markup on the Elise is a biatch. At 45 and 50k, Its value is eroded when compared to other high-performance two-seaters.

I'm always late to every thread.

My friend paid $40K for his Elise. He didn't encounter any of the dealer gouging you mention. The Elise is really a track car that you can drive to/from the track, which is what my friend intends to do with his. I think those expecting a comfortable sporty car with creature comforts to use as a daily commuter will not like the Elise. It's pretty stark inside, very small and very light. and I wouldn't wanna get hit by an Exursion while in one.

good ol Lotus...I'm glad they didn't make the Elise's motor...or the Super 7's....

I too want a Caterham Super 7, I'll take mine with the 2.5 Duratec please. Man, that'd be really scary if they used that motor in the same config the Noble does...
